We had noticed Baan Suan while passing on our scooter a few times, and each time, it beckoned with its inviting charm. So, one afternoon, we decided to drop in. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Tony (I hope I have his name spelt correctly), who exuded charm. He gave us a restaurant tour, introducing us to the resident peacocks and the impressive giant catfish. The ambience was enchanting, complemented by an outstanding menu.
Excited by our discovery, we promptly contacted my parents, who were nearby and arranged to meet there for dinner. We were seated at a splendid table near the bar, surrounded by a delightful atmosphere, and the staff's hospitality was exemplary. Tony welcomed us as if we were old friends. Our introduction to Alex, the proprietor, was equally delightful as he engaged us in pleasant conversation and told us about the refurb of the building.
The evening unfolded with sheer enjoyment, accompanied by exceptional food. Despite being new to the scene, having only opened their doors three weeks prior, it was evident that the team was diligently striving for perfection. And indeed, our experience felt nothing short of flawless. A heartfelt thank you is owed to all involved. We look forward to returning before our departure to the UK.

Read morePre-covid this restaurant was our favourite so we were pleased to hear it had reopened and went for lunch. The decor is as attractive as ever but unfortunately now that it is foreign owned the menu is limited with less Thai dishes. No deep fried morning glory. We ordered the prawn green curry which was tasteless and the baked squid had gone off and had such a dreadful smell we sent it back. We could have got food poisoning had we eaten any. The spring rolls thin and misshapen. So disappointed. We were the only two people there so perhaps be aware that maybe there’s not enough turnover so some food might not be as fresh as...
