Hakone Izakaya — Restaurant in Chon Buri Province

As others have mentioned, this is the same restaurant formerly located at Sukhumvit road. They have rebranded themselves to Hakone Izakaya. The menu is also upgraded to include more dishes.

The set menus from the former place is also gone. Instead, they added dishes and a lot of drinks option. They still do not charge corkage if you bring your own bottle of wine.

Price and portions are roughly the same as before. Parking can be a bit tough, esp early evenings and weekends because the restaurant is near the public market and temple.

Music can be a bit loud but it somehow adds to the ambiance. Could be a bit softer so that the customers can speak softly to each other.

They’re only open for dinner, starting at 5pm.

We have been coming here since it opened 12 years ago. Good food. A lot of really good dishes. The service and prices are good, and our regular waitress is a star. The sashimi is always a must for me, but there is a big variety of quality dishes whether looking for a single one, or a group to share. Nice cold Asahi beer too. This japanese restaurant has been my family go to place since 2012. When ever we have cravings for japanese cuisine, this place never disapoints.
