Tucked behind the mammoth Bangchak gas station on Srinakrin, I like this branch simply because of their friendly staff (management, please keep up the good work!).
Their cold showcase displays a wide selection of beef cuts including clams, etc. Their friendly staff always went the extra mile to explain the taste and cuts of their selections, holy cow … one day I’ll learn them all by heart! lol lol
Their printed menu also offers a range of pastas, salads, burgers and helpers which is great… everyone at the table gets more than steaks.
Orders were: 2 cheese burgers 2 curly fries 1 house salad 2 carbonaras 1 scallop pasta 6 lamb tomahawks 2 rib eye steaks, 45 days 2 sirloin, 100 days (Picanha sold out, very disappointed 😔😀) 6 Soft drinks 6 Water & Ice 1 Tiramisu 1 Panna Cotta Total ~7,700 includes service charge
The bill, I felt was reasonable but could do without the scallop pasta 570 baht (although very delicious, would opt for another steak) and the lambs were tender and deserves thumbs up (300 baht ++ each)… all in all, I would recommend this Arno’s branch.
Highly highly recommend, asked steaks and lambs to be cooked medium rare as they’re served on sizzling plates, you could be well eating the almost well done meat by the time you get to the last piece (don’t over cook)!
I also like the casual mood and setting, didn’t feel like a black tie event as going to Ruth’s Steak House. I was in shorts and polo shirt and flip flops and was welcomed just as well as needed.
I forgot entirely to photograph the restaurant and the ambiance, the sizzling hot plates had me...
Read moreI am sorry to write this negative review. The restaurant is very pretty. The service was excellent and the staff were very polite and helpful. The appetisers were excellent though small for the price making them a poor value compared to other high end Bangkok establishments. This is a top class steak house on Bangkok and the prices are expensive by comparison.
Our first problem was with the specials. We arrived early for dinner and were the only table in the restaurant. They had an advertised special for prime rib, which is our favorite. When we ordered two, we were informed they only had one available. I decided to change mine to smoked short ribs. The short ribs were overdone and dried out. The flavor was good but the texture was like boot leather. My wife's prime rib was cut too thin and as a result could not be properly prepared to serve rare.
It was truly a disappointing experience. We learned that most of the dishes are prepared offsite and then given no additions or only the finishing touches when ordered. I believe this may contribute to the dryness of the ribs and the aver cooked prime rib.
The presentation of the food was nice. Again, the staff were very helpful and spoke good English. They were...
Read moreGreat place for a good steak. Free-standing steakhouse tucked behind the gas station, Arno’s serve steaks, burgers, pasta, and other dishes. Various cuts of steaks available and different levels of dry-aging. You can pick out your steak from the cooler. Steaks are served with various sauces on the side. I got the pepper sauce, which was good.
I ordered the 45 day dry-aged prime rib set. I chose fries and Potato Sartadaise as my sides. The fries are crisp are flavorful. I don’t know exactly what Potato Sartadaise is. This may have been a perfectly executed version of that side, but it just wasn’t my favorite. I wish the steak sets came with more side options.
Our fam also tried the cheese burgers, hot dogs, and pasta carbonara. I am not a big fan of the ground beef they use for the burgers. Overall, the steaks are very good and well-cooked. The menu also has other options for those who do...
