I recently had a dining experience at this restaurant, and the highlight was undoubtedly the large portion of ribs served. The ribs were visually captivating, making them an Instagram-worthy dish. However, I must warn that the chili on top is quite spicy, so I recommend removing some of it before consumption, especially if you're not a fan of intense spiciness. The ribs seemed to be sourced from the spine area, making them quite challenging to eat with utensils. Using your hands is the best way to enjoy the full experience. However, the provided gloves were rather thin, and towards the end of the meal, they tore apart. I would suggest using sturdier gloves to avoid any inconvenience. On the other hand, I found the pineapple fried rice to be rather ordinary, lacking any unique flavors. I wouldn't recommend ordering it, as the ribs alone are enough to satisfy your taste buds. Save your appetite for other dishes instead. To sum up, the restaurant excels in serving large and eye-catching portions of ribs. If you're a fan of flavorful ribs, this is a must-try. However, the pineapple fried rice fell short of expectations. I would advise leaving some space in your stomach to explore other delicacies in the...

🍜 Food wise: As one recalled the last time, this dish is supposed to be sour and really spicy. This time round, the soup was still sour, yes, but the spiciness level seemed to have mellowed. It was more than bearable, much more pleasant, no need to worry about getting drinks to kill off the spice. That said, still be careful of the chilli lurking in the soup.
The meat was succulent, juicy, some parts fatty, and delicious. While some parts may not be falling off the bone, mostly came off quite easily. It may be messy, but they do provide gloves, though the soup and oil might still go into the gloves. Prepare some tissues.
The pineapple smoothie was good to ease off the warm weather, light sourness, pleasurable sweetness and aromatic fruity flavour.
✨ Ambience wise: Got to sit by the “window” seat, it was cooling.
🤵🏻 Service-wise: Staff did their job.

Taste & freshness: • The presentation may be dramatic, but the taste falls short. • Ribs did not taste fresh—some pieces were dry or had an off flavor. • The smoky, spicy glaze wasn’t enough to mask the lack of freshness.
Verdict: 👎 Visually appealing but disappointing on taste. If freshness matters, this dish may not be worth it.
⸻
🍚 Khao Pad (Thai Fried Rice)
Flavor profile: • Portion size was decent, but the rice leaned heavily on the sweet side, which threw off the expected balance of savory and umami flavors. • Missing that classic wok hei (wok aroma) that makes Thai fried rice shine.
Verdict: 😕 Too sweet for a fried rice dish—might not suit those looking for a more traditional, balanced Thai flavor.

🔚 Overall Take
While both dishes look promising on the menu, execution fell flat. The Volcano Ribs lacked freshness, and the Khao Pad was overly sweet, which may not appeal to all palates. You might be better off sticking to Thai staples like braised pork leg or grilled seafood...
