Old Siam Thai Royalty Beachfront Restaurant — Restaurant in Kamala

We went here for my wifes birthday. Very bad choice. Average food. Enormous prices. And now lets start the story. My wife's plate was 1h late because they brought something else. Mai tai cocktail - even tho its made with 2 types of rum, had absolutely no alchool in it. We wanted the bill on the room divided in 2 cos we were 2 couples. Ofc it was a total fail. Wrong every where. What we ordered was on the bill of our friends and vice versa. And yes the TIP is included on the check. The waitress was totaly clueless. English was so hard to learn...how can you work in a 5* star hotel like this?!?!?! And yes Misquitos everywhere and bigg ass ants. Too bad i cant...

Witnessing a local wedding, we had a lovely prepared and delicious dinner in the outside part of this very good restaurant. The Classic Mai Thai was excellent, even though the Piña Colada was unconvincingly milky. We loved the appetizers, especially the Dim Sum was prepared in a very appealing way. As highlight of the dinner the Benjarong Curry surprised with intense flavors and the duck was roasted to the point. Love...

Hatten ein Valentinstag-Spezial gebucht. Kann von daher zum regulären Restaurantbetrieb nichts sagen. Aber der Service und ich hoffe der ist immer so, war top. Immer aufmerksam ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein und das in einer wirklich relaxten Atmosphäre. Das Essen war für unsere Begriffe auch super( Surf&Turf). Man merkt halt schon, auch an den Preisen, dass es kein All Inklusive-sondern ein i.d.R. ein à la carte Restaurant ist. Der Strand an dem man sitzen kann ist nicht so schön anzusehen (viele Steine und Kies) aber hey dafür ist es dort echt ruhig. Wer schönen Sand möchte kann ja am Strand von Patong Essen...mit Tausenden anderen.

Ps: Den Sonnenuntergang kann man übrigens auch nicht sehen da die Hotelanlage in welcher das Restaurant liegt u.a. an einem Hügel liegt welcher die...
