Chom Talay Restaurant at Mandarava — Restaurant in Karon

BBQ night at Chom Talay while staying at Mandarava Resort and Spa. Service was nonexistent. We got handed a drink menu and nobody came to take our order. I had to go up to the bar myself to order drinks. Nobody informed us about how the BBQ works. English skills were very low. Food was bland made for western tastebuds. They must be scared of spices. Nobody came to take any additional orders when we finished our food and drinks. The servers basically forgot about us. Pricey for what you get. Would not recommend. Would rather eat outside...

Located inside the Mandarava Resort, this restaurant was my only option on a very rainy day in Phuket. Service was terrible given what you get and expect in Phuket in general. Only 4 tables, 5 people walking around. Not clear what the system was, but if you have to wait for 10 minutes to show up at your table...in a 4-star hotel, well then you are not up to expectations. The food was ok. Fries were cold (4 tables ! 20 minutes...
