On The Hill Karon Restaurant — Restaurant in Karon

stayed for 2nights in the resort. The staff and owner are superbly nice and friendly. They even have a very friendly and adorable pet dog named Tau-fu (hope i spelled it right). The view of the beach from the resort is also very beautiful. Rooms are clean and bed provided are comfortable. The washroom is basic but they serve their function well. Access to the beach is through quite a few stairs. Good for people with strong legs but not recommended for people with compromised knees or mobility. Not recommended to drive to the resort. better to take a local taxi who are skilled in manuvering through the sharp bends and steep hill where the resort is located. We actually had an accident right in front of the resort when we were turning out due to the obscured view of oncoming traffic. But the owner of the resort was very quick to react and provided us the necessary support. He even helped us to contact the local authority and necessary process to resolve the situation. Also helping us to translate with perfect English from the local policeman when they arrived. All in all a very nice experience and will definately...

Stay: Good place if you need to crash and are looking for stay and explore Phuket. Rooms are very spacious and clean with basic amenities. The owners Joe, mrs Joe and their daughter are very nice and friendly. They recommended alot of things to do over the weekend around Phuket.

Food: Amazing food. We ordered a breakfast set - continental bfast and pancake breakfast. We also had lunch on few of the days. Everything we ordered was very delicious. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly and courteous. Note: Restaurant is open till 8pm.

Location: Beach access(Karon beach), but you need walk a lil.View from the restaurant is fab where you can look over at the karon beach.

Other help: we needed commute on the first day and the guy at the front desk was very helpful and helped us getting a tuk tuk. The owner Joe was really nice who helped us to get a taxi to the airport.

Things to note Stay : If you aren't okay with walking this isn't a place for you. Too many levels to get to the restaurant or the entry gate. However if you have a vehicle, you can park your bike/car very close...

We fell in love with this place as soon as we came. To describe the welcoming we got as warm, kind and caring would be an understatement. The only downside (if you see the following as one) is the dated rooms. But to be completely honest, we didn't even care about that considering everything else:

The view from our room (26)- breath taking. The hotel offers you a 3 min. Walk to the beach through a private gate. an outdoor pool for your enjoyment accessible to you 24/7, an amazing breakfast prepared per customer. But as far as we're concerned, the jewel in crown was the amazing owners and the warm and friendly staff.

The hotel is located, as the name suggests- on the hill. The local tuk-tuk will be happy to take you to the busy street's for about 200b but you can also get there by walking thourg the beach in about 10-15 min.

To conclude: great location, amazing staff, good food, nice...
