Was there on 2 occasions alone and with my wify. I'll summarise both experience below:
Food: BeefSteak - had ordered the T-bone grain fed and sirloin grass fed steak, both european style on both occasion. Doneness not accurate as requested on both occasion. Both meat were very chewy with lots of sinew present. Believe the beef steak quality wasn't of high quality even though the price isn't cheap. Recommend to go for the chicken or duck instead. Just to add, the mushroom sauce that came with the steak was rather bland too.
Quesadillas - The tortilla was tad cold when served. The salsa tasted bland too, apart from the little sourness that's present. Something seems to be missing! The cheese! Recommend to skip!
Tacos - had the beef and chicken tacos. Taste was perfect. The herbs and spice wasn't too strong but just right. I strongly recommend this item!
Caesar salad - Nothing much to comment as it was refreshing. I recommend this item too!
Drinks - had ordered the tequila sunrise and another alcoholic cocktail. Both were nice and would recommend to try.
Service: The kitchen had served out the wrong dish twice to our table which we did not ordered. Or was it the servers fault who too our order? Had requested for the mustard sauce at one time, and the server came back with an almost empty bottle with some water in it but no sauce, believe it was kept in the fridge for sone time already. So requested for a new one, yet the server passed to us the bottle with the inner seal cap still stucked on it and left!
Ambience: Was there for dinner on both occasions, not crowded at all, and I should say its a rather quiet place I would recommend for business meetings or some close associate catch ups. But I may say even though we were there during the night at about 7plus pm and seated within the enclosed area, it seems rather warm and humid as the air-conditioning there isn't that atrong. So if it isn't raining or too windy, would probably recommend the outdoor area. Frankly, if I were to visit the place again, it would definitely be for the ambience and not for the food!
**Something disappointing to add. During both occasions in the span of almost a month, we wanted to order the duck breast with foie gras. But on both occasions the server replied that the foie gras has not been replenish yet! How interesting and...
Read moreI regularly eat at (mostly take away) the Greenleaf. For the most part everything that my wife or I have eaten there has been really good. Every now and the then there is a slight dip in quality on some of the items such as the chicken dippers or the steak in the steak sandwich. Overall though it has been my go to place when I want to treat myself. The country burger and chicken wraps are really good. I highly recommend it. The staff are super polite and attentive too. Wi-fi seldom works , not a deal breaker, just annoying that it is a known problem that has never been fixed.
Update on the WiFi front...they have stopped giving free WiFi....hmmm.
Update... I hadn't been to Greenleaf for a while and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had done some refurbishment, both inside and outside, unfortunately the same can't be said of their menu. I was hoping that there would be some new options, sadly no.
They have started selling scones and jam which I found to be a bit doughy..almost undercooked... That's my personal...
