Pomodoro — Restaurant in Khon Kaen Province

Poor service and food mostly out of the microwave.

I went there with my daughter and as we both like Italian Food. The service at best was bad, we sat own and wanted to order, while there were at least 4 people cleaning a table that obviously had a function, no one wanted to take our order. After I went in and asked if I can make an order they mostly ignored me. Eventually a waitress took out order.

When the meal came it was obvious the food had some from a microwave because there were hot and cold spots. So not only did we not get fresh food the kitchen staff were too lazy to even properly stir the food form the microwave.

In Summary, poor service and the cold parts of my meal completely stopped my appetite.

I have visited this place, Pomodoro restaurant, on many occasions in the past. The restaurant is in the same street as many bars, but when I want to have dinner I choose a dedicated eatery. There are always many people at work, nice girls with a smile and demeanor that make you feel welcome. And this means that you get quick follow-up and serving when food and drinks have been ordered. Italian restaurant, but also has Thai dishes on the menu, of course, as Thai ladies visit daily with foreigners. Low background music means that you can relax and have a conversation going while enjoying the food, with a beer or a glass of red wine, or stronger cases as desired. This restaurant had such a good-looking photo of garlic bread on its reviews on Google Maps, that my wife wanted to have dinner there. So, when my wife attended a meeting nearby, we went to the restaurant with our niece who was studying in Khon Kaen. The place was small and lively. Actually it was too noisy from customers at the next table who were having a good time. My wife was very disappointed that the garlic bread didn't taste good as it looked. But the pizza and pasta dishes turned out well, with European portions which were too large for any Thai lady. I couldn't remember the names of all the dishes we ordered.
