Kronen Brauhaus by Pullman Khon Kaen — Restaurant in Khon Kaen Province

The restaurant is located in the basement of the Pullman Hotel. The Pullman Hotel itself seems like an old building that was only superficially renovated — just the exterior was refreshed. As a result, the restaurant also gives off a sense of stepping back in time, with a musty smell and interior design mimicking an old Western-style bar.

The German sausages tasted like they were mass-produced in a factory. The garden salad was made with cheap ingredients and was extremely small for the price. The German schnitzel was also disappointing, as the meat was overly greasy and soaked in oil.

They offer a buy-one-get-one-free deal on house beers, where you can choose between dark or light. The beer was decent.

Live music was performed by elderly men singing pop songs from the 70s and 80s. Overall, it felt like spending time in a rundown bar in the countryside — except the prices were far too high for...

I was wondering how it would be, seeing quite a few negative reviews, but I have to say I was mostly pleasantly surprised. But as a good German ;) I have a bit to complain: The beer is a bit bland. There are much better craft/local beers in Khon Kaen. Also a bit pricey unless you make use of the 2-for-1 deal. The potato salad was just weak. Ordering fried potatoes I indeed expected fried potatoes (Bratkartoffeln), but I got boring french fries. Sauerkraut was a bit too soft. Also there's no need to order it separately as it is included with several dishes. We reserved a table and showed proof of it but didn't get it. Great live music (on Halloween) Everything...

ยี่สิบกว่าปีก่อนผมมาที่นี่ สมัยเป็นโรงแรม Sofitel ชอบมาก ดนตรีสดที่ดีที่สุดที่หนึ่งในประเทศไทย วงดนตรีเต็มวง ดีดสีตีเป่า เหมือนอยู่ในคอนเสิร์ต Bee Gees , The Beatles ฟังเพลง Frank Sinatra , Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard จำได้ว่าเจออาจารย์เจิมศักดิ์ ปิ่นทอง กับ อาจารย์ ไกรศักดิ์ ชุณหะวรรณ นั่งดื่มเบียร์ ขยับปากร้องตามเพลงไปด้วย

นักดนตรีที่นี่ยุคนั้นใส่สูท เป็น big band มือ lead guitar ร้องเพลง My way เดินรอบโต๊ะลูกค้า สบตา ดึงผู้ฟังให้มีส่วนร่วม เกือบทุกคนร้องตามกันอย่างมีความสุข พี่ๆ นักดนตรียุคนั้นคงมีชีวิตอยู่ไม่กี่คน ตอนนี้ไม่เจอแล้ว

มาคราวนี้ คุณภาพลดลงมาก อย่างไม่น่าเชื่อ เปิดเพลงต้นฉบับ แล้วมีผู้ชายใส่เสื้อยืดสีขาว กางเกงยีนส์เป่า Saxophone ตามเพลงที่เปิด ถูกจังหวะบ้าง คร่อมจังหวะบ่อย ตอนแรกผมนึกว่ากำลัง test เสียง ที่ไหนได้ คือเป็นการเล่นจริงแล้ว 🤣 มีผู้หญิงคนนึงยืนส่ายเอวเบาๆ แต่ไม่ได้ร้องนะ สองคน นับเป็น 1 วงแล้ว มันง่ายไปรึเปล่าครับ หรือเปลี่ยน theme เป็น easy listening แล้ว

ก็ฟังๆ ไปเถอะน่า 🤣

ความประทับใจในอดีตหายไปหมดเลย ตอนที่กำลังพิมพ์อยู่นี้ วงที่ 2 มาแล้วครับ มีสามคน น่าจะ I can’t tell you why อยู่นะ เพราะดีครับ ถึงจะเหมือนเติ้งลี่จินร้องเพลงร็อคก็ตาม แม้จะไม่ถึงเสี้ยวของความคาดหวังที่ผมมาฟังดนตรีที่นี่ ผมก็เป็นกำลังใจให้นักดนตรีกับคนทำงานที่นี่ทุกคนนะครับ

แค่อยาก feedback กับเจ้าของสถานที่ ว่าผมสังเกตเห็นลูกค้าลดลงไปมาก หลายโต๊ะเช็คบิลกลับบ้านตั้งแต่ยังไม่ถึงสามทุ่ม ถ้าจะขายอาหารราคานี้ ด้วยคุณภาพดนตรีแบบนี้ ก็ต้องทำใจยอมรับรายได้ที่ลดลงอย่างรุนแรงตามคุณภาพด้วย ถ้าลูกค้ารู้สึกไม่คุ้มค่า ก็คงไม่เข้ามาซ้ำอีกหรอกครับ

ผมเรียกเช็คบิลแล้ว จะแวะเซเว่นก่อนกลับโรงแรม ซื้อเบียร์สองกระป๋อง เปิด YouTube จากไอแพด ฟังเพลงที่อยากฟังดีกว่าครับ
