Lovely Restaurant, but Music & Comfort Can Be Improved
I’ve been a repeating guest at Annie’s and can say that the food is consistently excellent, the service always warm and attentive, and the view really adds to the overall experience. These are the main reasons I keep coming back.
That said, there are a few points that make me give 3 instead of 5 stars:
Music No matter what time of day I visit, the music is always quite depressing, which unfortunately creates a heavy atmosphere that doesn’t match the otherwise beautiful setting. I would suggest switching to something more neutral and uplifting that most guests enjoy—timeless jazz classics, Hotel Costes compilations, or Café del Mar–style lounge music would create a relaxed, positive vibe and make people feel even happier to spend time here.
Street Noise Because the seating area is directly by the main street, there’s noticeable noise that can disturb the otherwise cozy setting. A simple solution could be a nicely designed brick wall between the street and the seating area. This would not only reduce the noise but also add charm and coziness to the restaurant’s look.
Pillows The pillows are another area that could be improved. Right now, they are few in number, not very visually appealing, and the filling inside is too little, making them look and feel uncomfortable. Adding more pillows with better filling and nicer covers would immediately lift the comfort and style of the space.
Both the music and pillow issue are quick fixes that I truly believe would make many guests, myself included, feel much happier. With these improvements, Annie’s could easily be a...
Read moreFood need improvement, bun was too dry (black one) also not juicy enough.
Spaghetti bolognes was flat as plain spaghetti only and over cooked.
Sparkling water need to be opened at the table not serve open. It was flat as almost still.
Get some decent fans on the ceiling. These dollar once look not nice and are useless. Get 5 blade once in China for 3000 THB they good and give you plenty of wind that is needed as the roof heats up a lot with these small fans.
Last for this time pls get the tables fixed. They were not steady not convenient to eat even we tried to fixed by ourself, wich is the worst in a restaurant.
Furniture although they are very nice and staff also yes language barrier of Thai nor English were very helpful and friendly.
However I dont like to be exhausted after ordering what I want. You should at least have one who speak Thai or English
Last but not least we Will come again...
Read moreAnnie's in Thong Krut is fairly new. It has an excellent ambience - really relaxing style and great view of the islands and you can watch tourists going on their boat trips.
The food is OK, in fact not very good. Very little flavour. We tried several dishes. Adding a lot of salt and pepper helps a bit. Serving hot dishes warm would also help a little. The "baked potato" was not at all what I was expecting. Cold oily fried potatoes may be a more accurate description. I wouldn't have that again.
The service was good.
The prices are high, especially given the taste of the food. I guess you're paying for the view and their marketing costs.
I highly recommend the restaurant for...
