Granny's — Restaurant in Ko Samui

It's a cute little shop down the street from where I live. Finally gave it a try and was a little disappointed. The iced americano had little coffee flavor. From the color of the drink, it looked more like tea, see the attached photo. I had a brownie to go with it and was disappointed as well. Brownie was hard, and staff must have seen me attempt to cut a piece off and rush out to offer to warm it up. Should have warmed it up if they knew the brownie was hard (stale?).

After we finished the owner brought out some infused liquors to try, they were great. I might give them a go again, but so many other great cafes are close by.

Update: Tried the iced Americano again and still weak like...

I can't remember the last time I had an espresso this good, which is kind of sad for me because when my friends come over and tell me the coffee I make them is the best on Samui, I've always said thanks, same for me, but now I can't say that anymore. Granny's is better!

I can't speak for the food because I tried only the banofee pie, which needed more toffee and banana pieces, yet was otherwise good.

I hate the busy ring road that this cafe is on, but inside, everything feels comfy and peaceful. In particular, the chairs are actually incredibly comfortable, unlike 99% of other places on Samui, which seem to see comfort as the enemy. Granny's has a...

I love this place. Best solution for breakfast in the morning, have many my options, coffee is super delicious and good quality, I like cottage cheese pancakes, I tried few deserts and now it’s my favourite place for coffee and dessert. Super recommend for lunch and dinner as well. Dishes served beautifully and cooked properly. I can feel they put heart into food. Well, plus guys have cool events with life music and live Dj playing. Have many table games at the place. Kids will love place as well. Have separate room with big table for big family or big team of friends. Don’t forget try chocolate hemp ball....
