What an amazing time we had at DA BARDO! I've been living on Koh Samui for nearly six years now, and let me tell you, this place serves up some of the best Italian pizza I've had in ages.

Here's the kicker: My wife, who's Thai, and our little pizza-skeptic daughter surprised us all. Normally, they stick to tiny chicken pieces or pineapple on their plates, but this time, they not only dug into their pizza slices but asked for more. Can you believe it? They actually finished the whole pizza and wanted seconds!

The ingredients were as fresh as it gets, and the cooking style screamed "Italy." You know that unmistakable aroma of a wood-fired pizza oven? Well, DA BARDO's got it, and it takes you on a culinary journey to the heart of Italy. Each bite of their pizza is like a symphony of flavors, from the perfectly crisp crust to the mouthwatering blend of cheeses and toppings.

And the secret? It's the owner and chef, Mr. Allan, a true Italian food wizard with over 30 years of culinary expertise. He not only whipped up amazing dishes but also made a heart-shaped pizza for our daughter and catered to our every whim.

No doubt about it, DA BARDO is the place to be for pizza on Koh Samui. In my book, it's numero uno.

I'm giving this spot a rock-solid 10 out of 10 - no second...

First time going here last week fresh pizza and great service. Tonight....well the complete opposite. Ordered 2 gin and tonics and the incorrect order was delivered 3 times, a mixture of gin and soda and then just tonic by itself, but 3rd time lucky and what we ordered. Ordered a Bruschetta Gongorzola to share as a starter and then 2 lasagne and fries for mains.

Starter came..... it was Bruschetta with tomatoes.... so it went back, to make another starter. Then the waiter served us our chips and one lasagne.... before we'd even had the correct starter, so he took these away. But he could be seen walking around the restaurant still with my lasagne in hand..

So out comes the correct starter and it's tasty, but before we could finish it, back comes the chips and the plate is whipped away and then the lasagne. So the chips were stone cold as they'd been sitting to the side for a considerable amount of time and the lasagne was luke warm on the outside and stone cold in the centre.

When we got the cheque they'd even managed to get this wrong as well.

It wasn't a good night at all and wasn't a good experience, wouldn't be back there, which is a shame as the first night the pizza was delicious. But tonight was like a episode of fawlty towers with our order and dinner being...

Just ate here and had an awesome time. We were craving pizza and saw online that the pizza is made in a pizza over. Great! Sign me up. My boyfriend and I split a margarita pizza and salad which was filling for us both. We also got a half litter of white wine. Everything was great. The chef, who is from Italy, told us that he imports everything. The accompaniments for the pizza were awesome and more than we get in Italy or the US: chili oil, olive oil, vinegar, balsamic glaze, dried oregano, salt, pepper, and chili flakes!
