After a long but scenic drive from Singapore, I found myself at a seafood restaurant that completely redefined what a perfect meal feels like. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the calming sound of waves gently lapping against the shore, the soft glow of fairy lights, and the soulful tunes of a live band playing in the background.

Nestled right by the sea, the restaurant offered an open view of the horizon that took my breath away. The salty breeze and the music set the tone for what was about to be an unforgettable dining experience. As I flipped through the menu, filled with fresh seafood delights, one dish stood out immediately – the Tom Yum Seafood Soup. Not too spicy and fits people with light acceptance of spiciness.

When it arrived, the aroma hit me first – warm, spicy, and inviting. The soup was a work of art, brimming with fresh prawns, tender squid, and delicate fish, all swimming in a perfectly balanced broth of fiery spice and tangy zest. Every spoonful was an explosion of flavors – the kind that wakes you up and leaves you wanting more. The lemongrass and galangal brought everything together so beautifully, it was like comfort in a bowl after a long day on the road.

The live band elevated the entire experience, playing mellow songs that blended perfectly with the natural rhythm of the waves. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in gorgeous shades of orange and pink, I couldn’t help but think – this is what pure bliss feels like.

We love this place so much, we went back twice. We met the manager, Jack the first night we arrived and due to a mishap with our bus driver we didn't have a ride home. Jack kindly drove us 50 mins out of his way to bring us to our resort! We went back the next night to the restaurant and wow! A beautiful oasis right on the ocean under beautiful shade trees, with live music both nights we visited. The coconut seafood curry was so delicious as well as the Tom Yum seafood soup! We ordered so much food I can't even remember, but it was all delicious. Our server Nun gave us superior service, too. The bartender James made us his favorite off-menu cocktails, and they were the best I've ever had. Read some mixed reviews but decided to be positive and visited this beach club - boy was I disappointed!

Most of the food we wanted on the menu was 'sold out' (including the basics like fries). We waited for more than an hour for a vegetarian club Sandwich (which means the only thing that require 'cooking' is the egg and obviously also toasting the bread). The cocktails we had were very light on alcohol. My mum's mojito tasted like it was just lime juice even after she has asked (and paid) for an extra shot. The waiter wasn't the friendliest and despite apologising, it didn't feel sincere - more like a thing he had to say.
