I have traveled all across Thailand, but nowhere captured my heart like the 79 Beach Bar & Restaurant. From the very first moment, you don’t just feel like a guest – you feel like part of a family. The location is a dream: directly on the beach, with breathtaking sunsets that you will never forget. But it’s the people that make this place truly magical. Don, Yet, Bau, Salina, Piu, Jackie, Oh, Firn, Khun and every single member of the team are some of the warmest, most wonderful souls I have ever met. They welcome you with open arms, genuine smiles, and hearts full of kindness.

A very special thanks goes to the incredible bartender Khun who crafts the best cocktails on the whole beach – every drink tastes like pure happiness!

The food is absolutely amazing – fresh, flavorful, and cooked with so much love. And the best part: if you have any special wishes, the team is always happy to fulfill them with a smile, jus let them know.

If something is not as you wished, please speak kindly to them – Don, beautiful Yet, and the whole family are incredibly generous and always ready to find a solution. In high season, this place becomes even more magical: traditional Thai dance performances, breathtaking fire shows, live music, DJ nights – it’s not just dinner, it’s an experience you’ll never forget 😍

The nice staff love to invite you for a friendly game of pool, and every evening is filled with laughter, music, and that rare feeling of truly living in the moment. For me, this place has become my second home. A place where you feel seen, loved, and simply happy. I will return again and again, because some places leave a mark on your soul – and this is one of them 🙏🏻

One small advice: during high season, when every table is full, please be patient and kind. The amazing kitchen ladies and the entire team work so hard to make your evening perfect. Order a cocktail, enjoy a shot, take a deep breath – and embrace the magic of Thailand, the land of smiles. Don’t come expecting things to be exactly like back home – come with an open heart, and you will experience something even more beautiful.

Permanent resident in Klong Muang, very disappointed by this restaurant. 20 minutes of waiting for 1 gin and tonic because the waitress had forgotten the order. We preferred to leave the restaurant than to continue to stay there for dinner. An extremely unpleasant waitress "Charlie" who would do better to go back to work in her mother's shop. Just because of her presence, I will not come back to this restaurant. The service is a real disaster. Management should fire this waitress who enjoys settling her personal problems on a customer during her service. this is not professional at all. All other restaurants got 5* from me. i refuse to accept the unacceptable. Google reviews are made for that very reason otherwise no interest. Whether you like it or not. The cuisine and the atmosphere are not penalized but to defend the indefensible, I'm removing another 1* from you. as a boss you should teach your waitress that the customer is king and not the other way around apparently from...

After our first visit, we left this restaurant with mixed feelings: we ordered a coconut smoothie, iced coffee, the happy hour pad thai with chicken, deep fried calamari and egg-fried rice with shrimp all at the same time around 8:15 pm. The drinks came around 8:35 pm and the food after asking how long it would still take them around 9:15 pm and one plate after another. All three dishes were very good and with 100-120 THB, each was well-priced. We were later explained the restaurant would only employ one chef which is why the preparation process would take them so long and this would have never happened before. Reading what others have written before I therefore rate -2 stars in regard of the overly long waiting time.

Edit: we gave them another chance one day later and the waiting times were much better. Best practice might be to ask first! We loved the mango mojito and...
