The Beach Club Krabi — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Sadly our time here was not good at all. We called the beach club at 11am to reserve a cabana day bed for 3:30pm. We then arrived at the beach club with only 2 members of staff present and neither of them knew why we were there or what to do. They said we should take bed number 4 and pointed us in the right direction. We walked over there and the bed was occupied. There were no other cabana beds free so we had to sit on the bean bags by the pool, which was fine. We then asked for 2 towels, which they took 10 minutes to bring over and just seemed confused when we asked if we could order drinks and food. Both members of staff were very standoffish and it put a dampener on our experience right from the start.

The prices of food and drinks are exceptionally high, much higher than other beach clubs we have been to around Thailand. Our bill was 2100 baht for 2 cocktails, 2 beers and 2 appetisers. The cocktails were very nice and the food tasty though, which was a plus! Sadly we ended up leaving the club early as there was no atmosphere and we just found the whole vibe to be off, which was a huge shame!

Just beware if wanting to come here, as it may not be the vibe that you’re looking for, and there’s definitely other places in Krabi I’d...

In short, really bad business with good potential. We were intending to spend the whole day there drinking and eating, but staff kept pushing us to spend more money! The service was really slow and bad and the attitude of the owner was awful.

When we arrived, sat for 15 minutes waiting for service. Then went to the bar and got told that these beds are for min. spent of 2,500 baht. (We don’t mind paying good money BUT, how will one spend money when there is no service?). Then staff member offered the pools seat for 1500 Baht or the table area for free. I asked if we can go to the pool, and staff said Yes. After some time in the pool a staff member asked me to get out of the pool because the owner said it is only for those who paid above 1,000 baht! This is after staff said it’s ok to get in the pool.

It’s not hard to get to the minimum cost - everything is overpriced 200% more than usual touristic places.

We were just about to order food and decided that this negative place isn’t worth a cent. We left and went to ‘Andalay’ close by and got a great experience.

Not recommended! Sorry, no support for this kind of business behavior. There are plenty of other cool places around Klong...

Its a beautiful setting and the staff is very friendly - 5 star all the way on the venue, atmosphere, music, and setting.

The kitchen however, for this pricepoint, really lacks understanding of international cuisine. The paella tasted like plum for some odd reason (and didnt taste anything like a paella). While i didnt expect a thin layer of rice as an authentic paella, I def expected it comes tasting like the dish is supposed to: well, it did not. The seafood platter was good for the most part, sea-bass was incredibly fresh and yum - but they serve the calamari a la plancha stuffed with an odd calamari eggs paste, which is nowhere mentioned on the menu. I sent it back saying i cant eat that and they did replace it with a “cleaned” version - which means they are def listening and want to give the best service.

In short: worth the trip, lovely venue, great cocktails, great music & vibes, great staff, but kitchen lacks training in international food - so manage your expectations of the food and you’ll have a...
