Chomtalay restaurant and bar — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Based on one visit, I don't recommend eating here. First of all, starters were served together with main dishes. Then out of four dishes we got, not one tasted well: satay chicken skewers were very dry, stir fried crab with garlic tasted awful and just looked burnt, the southern Thai pork stew was a soup that tasted of large amounts of balsamic vinegar, and pad Thai tasted sour, with dried up veggies and cold, tasteless prawns. All of that for the price that's several times higher than the food served on the streets, which tastes many times better. Nice restaurant attached to Anyavee hotel. Great position and good food with stunning beach and island views. We ate here a few times in the evenings during the week. Food very good and at a reasonable price. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Service can be a little slow at times (it was over New Year) if they are busy but, with the fantastic position overlooking the beach, any waiting was not an issue, more of a good point in reality.
