LungPooh restaurant — Restaurant in Krabi Province

I definitely cannot recommend this place. I don’t understand where all the good reviews are coming from. The food is very average. I asked for a shake without ice, and they refused. Later, I understood why. The shake is almost entirely ice, with barely any fruit.

I’ve been here for a week, traveled all over Phuket with my family, and I’ve never encountered anything this bad. The price, however, was the same as if it actually contained fruit with some ice, rather than almost just ice. I strongly do not recommend it.

The decor is okay, and the staff is nice and helpful, but they speak very little English. At the table next to us, the owners were watching the guests over their whiskey glasses. They are friendly and polite, even offering beer snacks.

I regret giving this rating, but I have to be objective. The current reviews are misleading. This place might deserve a 3.0 rating, but...

Came here right after landing at the airport!

This meals are prepared by a savvy cook. The flavours are balanced while respecting the original recipes. If you want real Thai food, this is the place to go. Portions are huge, choices are many and prices are very affordable. You will leave full and happy.

I recommend you to try the khao soy, pad thai, shrimp paste fried rice.

To really eat like a local,add prik nam pla (chilies in fish sauce) to the shrimp paste fried rice and pad kra pao so that it highlights all flavours.

There's even a choice of western breakfast... although I much prefer Thai food.

The restaurant is located in the middle of town, nearby main arteries but far away...

There are many similar places around but here is definitely one that you must visit! Affordable prices, clean and really delicious food. Thai food is the best and European options included too. Would be good to have more pasta but understandable) generally, a cute little place with kind welcoming owners.
