Chocoleaf was recommended to me by a friend, and this cafe hidden away in Northern Bangkok really owes it shine and friendly atmosphere to the charms of its owner, Ken. The care into his cooking and the relationships he shares with customers is evident as he seemed to really enjoy greeting each customer individually, chatting comfortably while his secret weapon made the rounds, an adorable Pom thirsty for attention.

I grabbed a Caramel Macchiato, Green Curry Chicken, and he gifted me with a delicious slice of chef-made chocolate cake. Both the coffee and lunch (toasted bacon sandwich and grilled fish salad) were delicious followed up with a rich Sacher Torte cake. But the real service came after! I really can't thank the owner enough for helping me out when I found that my car had been wheel clamped. Not only did he take me quite a distance on his motorbike to the police station to pay the fine, he spoke with the police for me and made the process so much easier.
