Dok Toh Dim Sum Café — Restaurant in Lat Phrao Subdistrict

Made by a team of ex-chefs of a 5-star hotel. Come to open a small shop a few seats on Chok Chai 4 Road. Dim Sum uses quality ingredients. Bite to find shrimp that are full of bouncing. Dim Sum is quite good and also the fried menu like all good Bread with fried shrimp, lettuce dessert, fried Chinese jujube, very crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, not oily. Fried taro is also delicious.

Taste was great but the wait was unbearable. We arrived at noon on Sunday and had to wait an hour to get a table. The wait wasn't over because the kitchen was also incredibly slow. In total, we spent 2:15 hours there and I think only 15 minutes were spent actually eating. You are definitely better off having a take out.

Other critiques include: The steam may have been a bit too hot as for ha gao and xiao long bao, the flour on the outside had disintegrated on some pieces. The fillings of the mince pork salapao was still cold.

Overall, the price wasn't worth it in our opinion. It's cheaper than eating in a high end restaurant but it wasn't far off maybe 20-30% cheaper so for the overall experience, I'd rather pay the premium...

ตัวร้าน: ตึกแถว 1 คูหา ที่ปรับปรุงเป็นร้าน ติดแอร์ มีจำนวนโต๊ะ ด้านใน และ นอกห้องแอร์บริเวณหน้าร้าน รวมแล้วไม่เกิน 10 โต๊ะ ไปตอนบ่าย 2 วันธรรมดาไม่มีลูกค้าครับ ( เคยมาครั้งหนึ่งก่อนหน้านี้แล้วเป็นวันหยุดคนรอคิวได้คิวที่ 9 เลยไม่รอ เพราะดูแล้วน่าจะไม่ต่ำกว่า 2 ชั่วโมง)

สภาพห้องอาหารสะอาดเรียบร้อยดีนั่งสบายไม่เบียดเสียด อาหาร: สั่งตีนไก่ตุ๋นเต้าซี่, ขนมจีบกุ้งเสี่ยวหลงเปา, ฟองเต้าหู้ยัดไส้ทอด, หัวไชเท้าทอด (แผ่นสีเหลี่ยมๆ), เผือกทอด, ซาลาเปาหลายไส้

ราคา: ไม่สูง แต่พอเห็นอาหารซึ่งขนาดเล็ก และปริมาณค่อนข้างน้อย มีความรู้สึกว่าแพงขึ้นมาหน่อยๆ บางอย่างให้มาเพียงชิ้นเดียว....... ทั้งหมดจ่ายไป 880 บาท (รู้สึกสูงไปนิด เมื่อเทียบกับของที่ได้ครับ)

รสชาติ: ทั่วๆไป ยกเว้นเสี่ยวหลงเปา อร่อยเลย( แต่ลูกเล็ก และนึ่งท่าไหนไม่รู้ติดกับกระดาษที่รองมา หนีบยกขึ้น ฉีกขาด น้ำซุปด้านในรั่วออกหมดทุกลูก)

การบริการ: เป็นมิตร น้องๆสบตาตลอด และให้บริการรวดเร็ว และเต็มใจดีมากครับ

สรุป: พอทานได้ ไม่หวือหวาเหมือนในรีวิว ราคาค่อนข้างตึง เมื่อเทียบกับปริมาณอาหาร ที่จอดรถท้าทายเกิน เห็นตรงกับเมียว่า...
