Unfortunately underwhelming visit. We had high hopes for this place after seeing such great reviews but we had a pretty poor experience. The staff were super friendly and really trying hard, so no fault to them. Food was hit and miss - the tempeh satays were a standout and really delicious. The restaurant was busy for its small size so food was slow to come out. If you go, I’d suggest doing it on a day where you have the time to stay and enjoy the space. However, there are a couple elements the restaurant could do to help the atmosphere. One is to install fans or AC — it can get quite hot anywhere you sit. And the other is to add small speakers or some background noise. Because the place was busy, and without any other noise, you’re stuck listening to other peoples conversations from nearby and not everyone tries to speak at a reasonable level. We had high hopes here but is sadly didn’t deliver for us. Maybe just came on the wrong day. Lots of potential here and it could be a quiet escape from the busy walking street in Pai (only if not too busy / not too loud...
Read moreOne of the best restaurants in Pai. Great dishes of Thai and fusion style provided in the nature without Wifi.
They are veganism-oriented and they created their own style.
For example, Khao soi is one of the most popular dishes in Northern Thailand. You will encounter diverse versions of Khao Soi even in Pai. Their Khao Soi is very unique comparing to ordinary Khao Sois.
Normally, chicken is preferred for Khao Soi. But they created new style of Khao Soi without chicken. It is more gravy than ordinary ones which use chicken broth. It feels like cream-based pasta with Thai flavour. Not spicy but more creamy and curry taste. Grilled and pulled mushrooms provide meaty texture. Fried noodles, essential element of Khao soi, are crispy enough to satisfy chewing sense.
It is very interesting to experience how they combine various elements and create...
Read moreQuaint, sweet little eatery a short walk from the main Pai town through some haw dropping scenery. Lots of menu options including coffee, smoothies, salads, smoothie bowls, plus bagels and tortilla wraps which appear to be the cafes main specialties. The menu art is cute with hearts to show the most popular offerings. I ordered a Laab Hed tortilla. Serving size was generous and the filling was delicious. The seating area is adorable and you can watch everything happening in the kitchens. Shoes are kicked off at the door and guests can sit or kneel in all kinds of chairs, tables, benches and lounges. it's a small, family run business. Everything about the place feels organic and authentic. The views of rice fields and mountains outside are astonishing. There's a nice silence given how relatively close the farm is to...
