A Curry Pot Restaurant — Restaurant in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

I really am in 2 minds on how to review this restaurant due to the good points and the not so good points almost being equal 🤔 So to start - this is I believe a relatively new place so I thought I would give it a try with some friends. First impression is that it is the usual size shop unit around Thailand and has a bright and clean appearance inside. The furniture I can only describe as low budget and the tables to not allow for 4 people comfortably but we managed ok - the chairs are not built to be sat on for lengthy periods but just acceptable. Ok we ordered drinks and were told our choice of beers were not cold so we're offered a different brand - strange to not keep beer in a fridge or have ice available. So we then ordered the food and my wife's tikka masala came as chicken tikka, perhaps a simple error that was put right with no fuss. I had the butter chicken with cheese naan - I will come back to the naan breads ! We all genuinely enjoyed our food but interestingly we all commented on the naan breads being rather chewy and not very bread like ! My cheese naan did not resemble the menu picture so I'm not quite sure what it was but honestly it needs work ! As a note: I am a foodie with vast experience of eating ( some say fat) and I have never had naan bread like this and if I'm being honest I won't order it again ! The total bill for 4 small beers and 4 meals and 3 ice cream desserts came to around 1800baht so not massively over priced in reality. One of the best Indian cuisine I ever tasted. I stumbled upon this place randomly in google maps and I kid you not it is one of the best random in my life. There's picture of many cuisine in the front but I don't think there's that many. I only saw Indian cuisince on the menu. Must say that it is authentic for sure. All the staff and cook is the evidence. The food is amazing and tasted so good in every dish. Nailed it to the perfection. The only downside of this place is that the place is built in the way that the sound echoes. If you are in there with many other table it would be hectic....

Happily enjoying my meals here has been key to enjoying the Korat experience. Good leadership and fully experienced chefs and lovely presentation. Fairly consistent and fast delivery. Your plates will be served hot and there is an effort to serve all dinner plates at the table promptly together so the hot meal can be best enjoyed.
