ABOUT THE RESTAURANT: The food is nice and plentiful, considering the reasonable prices. They never skimp on the most desirable ingredients like shrimps or squid. During my seven visits service was swift and, depending on the waiter, polite; all speak serviceable English. There was never any problem with bill or change. All foods and drinks were always available. I didn't notice mosquitoes. The menu is written in Thai and English and has some small pictures. You get dishes less spicy by request. They have a full range of Thai dishes, almost no Western dishes except “fish and ship”, and there seems to be no dessert whatsoever, not even a simple fruit plate that's available in many other Thai restaurants. Also som tum Khorat or standard som tum are not on the menu (ching-ching illii). They have a range of special beers including four kinds of Beerlao. There are also many temptingly priced cocktails and mocktails which may not look like what you expect, but I liked them, especially the mojito and the midori sour. The outdoor terrace always had free tables with a mix of Thai and Western visitors on weekdays and weekend. Around 7:30 p.m. a guitarist/ singer takes to the microphone, playing not much folk, but Sek Loso songs including the heart-rending “Khop-chai ching-ching”, with only few Western numbers. I liked his full, pleasant voice, but the fingerpicking needs a top-up. The volume was concert-like. Almost next to this guitarist is a TV screen often showing killing and horror movies I could well do without. As the rotund, black house dog does its slow rounds and graces each table with a thoughtful, concerned, never pleading look, one wonders what’s its name? Pumpui?

Nice live band! The singer was singing so well both in English and Thai and was very interactive with the customers. Didn't manage to order food. We went in and ordered some drinks because of the live band and nice atmosphere.

Superb bar & restaurant. Live music last two nights. (Assume every night). Extensive well priced menu for both food and beer.

What a dump!* The food is mediocre at best, and the service isn't much better. One guy is working while the other one is glued to his phone – who knows what he's even doing. And the music is god-awful*, just...
