Jimmy's Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Nong Khai Province

Ok. Let’s start at the start. I’d come to NongKhai for reasons twofold. Firstly to try and get a Bank account at the pink Omsin Government savings bank recommended by immigration non 1 year visa holders. Got refused. Secondly I went to Kawasaki to get a fault light diagnosis. It was dirt in the starter switch. If the ECU detects a non start a number of times in succession it’s illuminates the engine warning light. 200baht.

While viewing Google Maps I was suggested a visit to Jimmys Restaurant and Bar. A review of the pork steak and mash got my massive tummy rumbling. So I made a beeline.

Jimmy’s is situated in a Falang bar street and opposite the White Inn Hotel where I witnessed a receptionist wearing a chin to eyes mask while sitting behind a bulletproof screen alone while no customers were checking in. I entered the bar after parking my bike outside and sat to peruse the menu and searched for the pork steak.

While searching I stumbled across the full breakfast option which I ordered, it’s 16:30.

It came in five minutes and was very good and hot. Staff were attentive also. Only gripe was that the eggs came with a little of the clear white not cooked, the chef chose how I like my eggs. Not a big problem unless it had been just egg on...

Very suprised how good the food was here. Pork chop was like a T-bone for 190bt 😋. The baguettes were fresh. They even brought us out garlic bread whilst we was having a few beers for free. Very good english speaking owners (thai) , just took over from previous owner, so polite and friendly. They also have some very nice imported steaks on menu , its a very large menu and frozen pies/curries to take away. ☆☆☆☆☆ review , couldnt fault...

Passage le samedi 6 janvier 2023. Commande de spaghettis bolognaise. Le plat n est pas cuisiné sur place mais est apporté par une dame en motorbike. Aucun couvercle ou film étirable sur l'assiette ce qui est limite en terme d'hygiène. Pour 200 bahts En attendant ma commande, j'ai bu une bière pendant que la serveuse et ce qui ressemblait à une escort aient eu le temps de consommer chacune trois boissons (1200 bahts). La serveuse m'a proposé du kamagra à 50 bahts et sa copine m a proposé un massage avec happy end pour 1000 bahts La " masseuse" au demeurant très jolie présentait un début de pilosité sur l espace naso- labial ( moustache) qui laissait présumer une proéminente surprise au moment de l'effeuillage. En fait de restaurant, c est un bar à p.... pour (vieux) touristes en manque de jeunes épidermes. Pour les autres il faut fuir vite et loin...
