i can’t say much for plantnery’s main food, but the dessert and drink i tried was pretty good. i had a pandan cake with an oat coconut latte (?) if i remember correctly. i just think the prices are just a bit steep as i remember spending 300+ baht for just a drink and dessert, but i guess it makes sense considering the overall good venue too and the facilities.
the ambiance is good and the overall place is like a mini sanctuary of sorts, good for photo ops and even just for long stays and possibly for working from cafe as they have lots of sockets. they have lots of room for visitors, both al fresco and indoors plus separate rooms as well. the bathroom is okay to go to when it’s not raining, but it is an outside walk. just a bit of a hassle when it’s raining, however as you’d need to carefully tread on the side to not get wet and with an umbrella they offer by the automatic sliding doors.
i was stuck in here a while from a strong rain, so it was a very conducive place to be with good ventilation and helpful staff. though we did have a bit of a language barrier, but they were very helpful to the point that they could! they had assisted me to my cab when i finally got one after a long wait from the rain traffic.
i spent a notable amount of time here around 3+ hours as i was killing time and didn’t want to go elsewhere as it was raining really hard. it’s just a bit troublesome to go to if you’re walking, as the side roads going to is very narrow so i had gotten a cab going and back.
but if i ever get around the area, would consider plantnery to...
Read moreThe restaurant offers a warm and inviting ambiance with a variety of shady seating options. The menu features a range of warm and medium-sized dishes, although some may not meet expectations. Notably, grilled pork and pork dishes tend to be overcooked, and the overall taste of the food can be inconsistent. For instance, ordering a dish followed by another of the same type may result in a noticeable difference in flavor, suggesting a lack of consistency in cooking standards.
While the coffee is commendably delicious, and the selection of beverages is diverse and extensive, the service falls short of exceptional standards. Customers are required to pay a fee at the counter immediately after placing their order, which can be particularly inconvenient during peak hours when the restaurant is crowded.
Despite its attractive atmosphere and diverse menu, the restaurant’s pricing strategy is questionable. The cost of the food does not align with the quality of the dining experience, which includes the ambiance...
Read moreWas on my way to a meeting when I spied this place. As I live locally I'd always intended to check out the places close to home. Outside there's a decent carpark. Building itself is quite nice with an inviting entrance. Walking in you're greeted with an open plan cafe with lots of seating options including tables for 6 or more. Outside is a large deck with a huge tropical garden and shaded tables dotted around. I ordered my usual Americano coffee. 85 baht. Coffee arrived with a glass of chilled water. Smelt good but a little watery. Flavor wasn't bad. Also I browsed at the food menu and there were lots of delicate snacks mostly priced around 180 - 250 baht. Also within the main counter is a large range of cake options. Price averaging 120 baht per slice. Good place, good service, coffee...
