ปูนางฟ้า King Crab Angel — Restaurant in Pattaya City

This restaurant is a tourist trap. Let me explain.

After ending our visit at the nearby fish market, we stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to eat here as our last dinner in Pattaya, it looks as if this is a family-ran restaurant.

The menu provided NO price at all and we had to ask the waiter about the price one by one. Clearly this is already a big hint that this restaurant is meant for tourists.

The dishes ordered were the oyster omelette, which was decent considering that the oysters were fresh and they were generous with it. Secondly, it was the steamed snapper fish, it was cooked nicely and was tender. Thirdly, the stir fried ‘morning glory’ which was loaded with MSG. Then lastly, the squid dish in the picture that I provided, it was bland, no flavour at all.

We asked for 4 bowls of rice because there were 4 of us dining in, and we were charged an extra 120 Baht. And the whole experience costed us around 1620 Baht.

I suspect this restaurant is in the habit of scamming tourists. We've ordered the lime steam fish and the fried garlic prawn, both were completely bland and lacked any sort of taste. Fantástica marisquería. Raciones enormes. Buenos precios. Marisco fresco variado: cangrejo, gambas, calamares y comida tailandesa en general. El personal es encantador y el chef es muy bueno y muy simpático. Una apuesta segura si comes por la zona. También está la opción de comprar marisco fresco en el mercado y ellos lo prepararan.

Cambio de dueños y la cosa ha cambiado. Los precios que te cobran ya no coinciden con los de la carta. Por preparte unas bocas de cangrejo compradas en el mercado, 120 baht (cuando las raciones ya valen eso, y ellos ponen el marisco). La variedad de producto ha disminuido y hay cosas que siguen en la carta pero ya no las tienen. No hablan casi nada de inglés, y el resultado es que pides una cosa y hacen lo que quieren.
