This is a seafood market offering a wide variety of fresh options, including mantis shrimp, clams, sea snails, oysters, various types of shrimp and crabs, and many kinds of fish. Prices are reasonable, and there’s usually room for a bit of bargaining. Compared to restaurant prices, buying seafood here and having it cooked nearby is a more budget-friendly choice.
In addition to fresh seafood, the market also sells various dried seafood products—such as dried shrimp and dried squid—which are ideal as snacks or souvenirs.
The market is located in the northern part of Pattaya and has a lively, open-air local market vibe. After purchasing your seafood, you can have it prepared at one of the many nearby stalls. It’s a fun and economical way to enjoy a fresh seafood meal.
While the location is a bit far from the city center (I'd rate the location 3 out of 5), the overall experience offers great value for money. I would personally give it a rating of over 4 out of 5, especially for the variety, freshness, and...
Read moreThe Quarter Ladprao is a quite new and modern hotel on Ladprao road close to Chatuchak. The rooms are functional and comfortable, but not to spacious. The breakfast buffet is definitely worth it and you can include it into your booking, but it is focused more on east Asian guests, so you don't find e.g. cheese or sausage. The swimming pool is quite nice, but the water is surprisingly cold. Towels are provided at the gym. When you arrive by own car, make sure that you get attention from the reception/concierge. From alone nothing will happen and you just enter the car park. The car park itself is not connected directly to the hotel, so that you have to walk at least 200 meters with your luggage until you reach the reception. MRT station is directly in front of the hotel, Skytrain is 400 meters away. Union Mall is on the other side of the street, and Central Mall just around the corner. To Chatuchak is about...

Just grab what you like and take it to one of cook shops to prepare for take away or dine in. I took a small red snapper type fish and a half kilo of live XL shrimp for 250 (70/180) and had a couple of extra shrimp thrown in. Brought it to the restaurant under the large metal canopy. I paid another 220 for preparation, but I think I paid premium vs outside restaurants. Regardless, choosing your preparation is easy. Shrimp were served split with legs and head removed Boy did it hit the spot, fresh, hot, bountiful and prepared in Thai style. Garlic shrimp and peppered fried fish.
Tips: The restaurants are really busy because the park is under construction.peak times might be hard to get a seat.
