I recently had the pleasure of dining at Masala Twist Indian & Thai Restaurant in Pattaya, Thailand, and it was an unforgettable experience that left me craving more. Nestled in Jomtien Beach, this gem stands out as one of the best spots for authentic Indian cuisine in the area. From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance, friendly staff, and tantalizing aromas set the stage for a fantastic meal.
The star of the show was undoubtedly the cheese naan—hands down the most delicious I’ve ever tasted. It arrived fresh from the tandoor, golden and perfectly crisp on the edges, with a generous filling of melted cheese that oozed with every bite. The balance of flavors was impeccable; the subtle richness of the cheese paired beautifully with the soft, fluffy bread, making it an irresistible companion to the main dishes. I couldn’t get enough of it.
The rest of the meal was equally impressive. The butter chicken was a revelation—creamy, fragrant, and spiced to perfection, with tender chunks of meat that melted in my mouth. The garlic naan and pilau rice were delightful sides, but the cheese naan stole my heart. The portions were generous, and the prices were incredibly reasonable, offering exceptional value for such high-quality food.
What truly elevated the experience was the attentive service. The staff, led by the charming Chef Sunny, ensured every detail was perfect, checking in with genuine care. Masala Twist blends authentic flavors with a welcoming vibe, making it a must-visit in Pattaya. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, this restaurant promises a culinary delight—especially if you indulge in their heavenly cheese naan. I’ll...
Read moreCertainly a welcome addition to the Jomtien food scene since up to now we’ve had limited access to great Indian food with only 2 decent restaurants in the area, make that 3 now.
You arrive to having the door opened for you and being shown to your table. Interior has seating for I’d say around 20 diners and there’s 2 or 3 tables outside. Inside temperature is very comfortable. The staff are very attentive without being intrusive and the whole experience even before being given a menu makes you feel welcome.
Food is cooked fresh to order and as a consequence some may think it’s a little slow to come out when compared to some others around, but you can really taste the freshness and the obvious pride the Indian chef takes in his food. Portions are not massive belly filler size, they are carefully thought out so that you enjoy the flavours and experience without having to waddle our at the end hardly able to move.
The tandoori shrimps were excellent although they might to go up one size for that dish, taste wise though really super. The chicken malai tikka was melt in your mouth tender, cooked exactly right and when married with the mint yoghurt sauce, wow! Chicken Jalfrezi spiced at just the right level for us and was very more’ish.
All in all a very enjoyable, unrushed and relaxing dinner complimented by great service. We’ll...
Read moreMasala Twist: A Flavorful Journey, Slightly Cramped Masala Twist delivered an exceptional dining experience where the food truly shone. Every dish burst with authentic flavors, expertly balanced spices, and generous portions that left us satisfied but not overwhelmed. The consistency across our various selections was impressive, showcasing the chef's dedication to quality. The service was equally outstanding, with the staff striking the perfect balance of attentiveness and discretion. They were readily available to answer questions and offer recommendations without ever feeling intrusive. Their genuine warmth and helpfulness added another layer of enjoyment to our meal. However, the atmosphere fell a bit short. While the restaurant was impeccably clean and comfortably air-conditioned, the tight arrangement of tables created a somewhat cramped feeling. Additionally, the non-air-conditioned bathrooms were a disappointment and didn't quite meet the standard set by the rest of the establishment. Overall, Masala Twist is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic and delicious Indian cuisine. The exceptional food and service more than compensate for the slightly cramped atmosphere and bathroom situation. It's a culinary gem that deserves recognition, and we'll undoubtedly be...
