First ⭐ location, right smack on the on beach whatch the sun set, looking onto the Bay, in the middle of all the action. Second ⭐ plenty of staff, quick to help, ( they were all coughing, as if they were all sick ) the air-conditioner filters are dirty mostly likely why. The staff were happy and polite. Third ⭐ the food, I was very impressed by their ice teas, Spinach and cheese dish. 😋 I had the lasagna very filling and a Thai latte. They had a big menu, something for everyone. Fourth ⭐ great atmosphere, plenty of room. Can accommodate Groups of up to 8. There's heaps of room outside but no shade sat this stage. Fifth ⭐ over all great place to eat and that wont break the bank. Thumbs 👍 up from me 👍

This isn't a general critique, just a single dish. Generally, I really like Sands, have had the excellent English breakfast a bunch of times. I decided to try the burger. As an American, I'm very dialed in and prepare them myself. So, the portion size is generous. It's cooked to perfection. Presentation is 110%. Atmosphere is as always at Sands... classy and elegant. The problem is the same as suffered or perpetuated by snooty gourmet burger joints in America and that's getting far afield of what a good burger is. I'll make this easy to understand. It's not a burger at all that they served me. They served me a "meatloaf sandwich." A very excellent meatloaf sandwich, but that's what it's best described as, not a burger.

Cappuccino review: Not good . Bad . The flavor is not good. It's not done properly. It is served in a very large cup , almost like a soup. The ratio of coffee vs. Milk . Vs foam is incorrect here. It result with a watery soup. On top of that , there is a sour flavor. I can't know if it's from the low quality of the beans, or from an improper type of milk used. The foam is also incorrect , it is to thin and fails to complement the Cappuccino. The Cappuccino cost 120 Bhat! Which is more than double of anywhere else. It is served nicely but tastes terrible. Many many mistakes in one cup of coffee Sad The place looks nice with an AC and nice view , but don't come here if you like good coffee.

Sands Cafe on the beach. Coffee is good, service is better. We sat at a table inside near the sliding doors and although it had a great view, the heat from the deck and outside was disturbing as one guest after another would go out for pictures. We ordered some fresh oysters and tried two to start and they tasted a bit old. Not wanting to leave, we ordered some coffees instead and enjoyed our conversation. They did forget to serve our croissants from the bakery, however we found that the front shop is independent of the restaurant... despite that, the in-house staff are really friendly and attentive, would give Sands Cafe another chance for pizza or breakfast as they do look delicious.

I give only three stars for two main reasons and if we were considering hygiene in more depth it may even be just two. Came for a coffee. 3 tables of each two people were outside and we were guests 7 and 8. We ordered an Ice Latte and an Ice Green Tea. Took 15 minutes and asking twice before we had it. The sugar syryp included protein as well (Ants), which is not a big deal if I was at my own home but at a restaurant I would expect no pest in my order. Hence oy three stars. Service ca definitely improve in friendliness and effectiveness. And if improved in attentiveness I would not have had Ants in my order.

Great little restaurant right near the beach, good food. The omelette are huge, good prices. Bacon eggs benedict was like only 219 baht. It came out cold but to their credit, I sent it back and they didn't microwave it, they remade the whole thing right!! Poached eggs were perfect, good hollandaise sauce, the rice porridge was good,130 baht but good, English breakfast was good. The scrambled eggs were great!! My daughter had 2 orders, Korean chicken was good but not spicy, 239 baht. Its a nice place , right by beach, staff was kind. I'd recommend this place and go back! I did twice in 3 days!
