Hornbill restaurant — Restaurant in Phang-nga Province

Apparently this is not a public restaurant and shouldn't be listed. Only for guests of the hotel. You can not make reservations here. Apparently you can call ahead. I'ld give the place a zero cuz these are a bunch of jerks. We arrived at 6 pm. I came asking where the restaurant is and they said that the restaurant is part of the hotel. I asked can we eat at the restaurant? yes of course. But she gave me the stinkeye. can we eat tonight at the restaurant? let me check and she called somebody. I don't believe she called anybody. And said no we're sorry we're busy tonight and I asked can I reserve tomorrow night? Will you be busy tomorrow night? and she said here call this number and I said forget it. not calling a number in Thailand when I only speak English. I checked Google to see how busy the restaurant was and it was at its lowest point of the day. If you're not open to the public...

Hornbill is a wonderful place with a stunning sea view that makes every meal feel extra special. The menu offers a great variety of food and drinks, so there’s something for everyone.

The service is excellent—attentive and kind from start to finish. I especially loved the trout tartare, it was fresh and full of flavor. My husband couldn’t get enough of the mango sticky rice dessert—it was the perfect sweet ending.

We also appreciated the thoughtful touch of mosquito repellent being readily available at the tables. It’s clear they care about the comfort of their guests.

We expected the food at Hornbill restaurant to be really tasty given it's part of the five star Cape Kudu Hotel. However it took 50 minutes for them to bring 2 starters and over an hour to bring the grilled fish we had as a main. The fish was not seasoned at all. For the price the service and food were both lacking. better food available a few steps away at any restaurant on the strip!
