Not recommended. Extremely disappointing: Arriving at the 5-star Dusit Hotel, there is no valet parking. The restaurant on the beach is far away from the lobby. There is no buggy service, but a long walk in the blazing sun. The Nomada is a beautiful beach restaurant in a perfect location. You don't notice anything of the advertised beach club - only gastronomy is offered. But fraudulent labelling is not a good marketing concept. When we arrive, the restaurant is almost empty, one table is occupied. A nice table with a view of the sea is free. We are told that it is reserved for hotel guests and are allowed to sit in the back with a view of the hotel. The table we wanted remains empty. So we are 2nd class guests (and full payer). The wine list is quite good, but the prices are far too high. We ordered a bottle and water. For water, they bring expensive Panna instead of local water, without asking. An environmental sin. After a long wait, we are told that the selected wine is not available. This is an extremely unprofessional no-go. They make no effort whatsoever for the guest. But cheekiness wins out. The waiter brings an alternative wine and says it's just as good and the same price. Later, thanks to Vivino and WineSearcher, it becomes clear that this is a double lie. The wine is clearly worse, but more expensive. There are no place sets here at 5-star price level but cutlery on the tabletop (hygiene is unknown) and no napkins (tissues from the box like at street food). We look at the menu. From an "Open Fireplace Grill" you expect to get beef, lamb and pork from the grill. But there is none of that. Just one fish from the grill and one chicken are offered. We ordered both. The fish is grilled too long and dried out, the chicken is ok. A sausage as a starter comes almost cold. Getting deep-fried calamari, I wondered if the chef was on holiday. For dessert, we had chocolate lava cake, but unfortunately the filling wasn't completely melted. The menu boasts a plethora of foreign words that hardly any guest understands. But apparently the guest doesn't matter anyway. Since they obviously no longer employ professional managers, we will avoid Dusit...

I had high expectations for this restaurant since it was highly rated and advertised well. So I boasted to my family that we will be dining at a beautiful restaurant.

It’s location was true very beautiful, by the beach and all but the lack of it’s service and drinks/food preparation and presentation is not something you would expect from a 5-star hotel restaurant.

We decided to have drinks before our table reservation and ordered simple cocktails. These did not look and taste as how they should be. So the first disappointment already happened. The pisco sour although was pretty good.

We sat at our table and ordered our meal. Those who didn’t ordered appetizers already gotten their main course and waited for their side dishes to come and about 20 mins later the rest got their appetizers. The dishes were not something that you would surprise you and say “wow!”. It wasn’t anything special that you would have at a lovely restaurant like this one. I have no photos of the food since it just lacked its presentation. The food tasted alright.

We ordered a tomahawk to share between 3 people and were told from the Chef that the portion would roughly start around 1.2kg. Instead we were served a very small portion which ended up just being 950 grams. We ordered so much side dishes to be able to just have a few steak pieces between us.

Having it being a hotel restaurant and knowing how dishes are usually served in Thailand, you would think they could at least somehow manage to bring all the food together. But instead, my family and I basically ate in 2 groups. The appetizers just came slowly after each other that the dining experience felt stretched out.

Quite disappointed in the service, we decided to come earlier because we had a baby, but it just deteriorated throughout the night, just as the rush hour started. The table wasn’t cleared up even after ordering a dessert. Which we basically had to put aside because no one came back anymore.

All in all, the location is great if you are a hotel guest. But for price for the experience as someone who lives nearby was just a bummer that I wouldn’t recommend...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just had the pleasure of dining at Nomada, located in the heart of the luxurious Dusit Thani hotel in Hua Hin, and I'm utterly impressed. This South American gem is the brainchild of Andre, who has curated an incredible menu full of delectable dishes.

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, inviting, and perfectly encapsulated the exotic charm of South America. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which was a great assistance to navigate through the variety of tantalizing options.

The highlight of our dining experience, without a doubt, was the food. We started off with the Crispy Cones, a brilliant fusion of crunch and flavor that set the tone for the culinary journey ahead. They were as visually appealing as they were delicious, indicating the attention to detail that is clearly a hallmark of Nomada.

The Scallops were cooked to perfection, fresh and succulent, complemented by a sauce that was both light and flavorful. It's the kind of dish that has you savoring every bite and wishing you could enjoy it all over again.

Moving onto the Ceviche, it was a masterful mix of textures and flavors. Fresh, zesty, and perfectly balanced, it was a delightful homage to the classic South American dish. The citrus notes were beautifully counterbalanced by the sweetness of the seafood, making it a must-try for any food lover.

To anyone seeking a unique and tantalizing dining experience in Hua Hin, I wholeheartedly recommend Nomada. It's not just a meal, but a journey into the heart of South American cuisine. Kudos to Andre and his team for crafting such a memorable culinary adventure. Can't...

Nomada, a Peruvian restaurant, promised an enticing experience of South American cuisine but unfortunately fell short on several fronts. Our anticipation was high for the renowned flavors of Peruvian cooking. The first two appetizers we tried were good but excessively salty, which overshadowed the other flavors. The highlight, the world-famous Peruvian Chicken, was disappointingly dry and lacked the expected burst of spices. The Picanha, advertised as a unique dish, turned out to be a paper-thin slice of beef served on a hot pan. This presentation made it cumbersome to manage at the table and detracted from the dining experience. Dessert managed to redeem the meal slightly, as it was quite good. The waitstaff were friendly and polite, but they seemed to lack the finesse and experience expected in a high-end restaurant. This affected the overall service quality and didn't complement the restaurant’s upscale image. Nomada’s location offers a beautiful sea view, adding a lovely backdrop to the dining experience. However, the presence of numerous flies was a significant drawback that disrupted the meal. Additionally, there is no air-conditioned space in the restaurant, which made dining uncomfortable, especially on a warm day. Given the high prices, we expected a superior dining experience. Unfortunately, the quality of food and service did not justify the expense.
