This place looked quite nice, cozy and special when Google-searched for a good Cuisine restaurant near On Nut, where I live. So first time to this âhiddenâ place, as taxi couldnât find it and struggled for 20 min from On Nut, but thatâs not so important here. When arrived, it was first of all âclosedâ even Google said âopen, but they let us in. We asked for a Meny, but as the kitchen wasnât âpreparedâ, the owner (farang guy) would like to recommend something special, as we suggested a piece of good meat/ steak. So he, the Chef, we presumed, came up with a âBlue Steakâ, which sounded very tempting, as he described it to be soft, tender and very juicy, like âmelt-in-your-mouthâ feeling. Well, my gf and I have no other remarks then: this was NOT as described and very tough, barely chewable and in fact far from his tempting invitation for a great steak! We did complained as every customer should do, if these unfortunate happenings appears, and he then said; I can make you a salat instead from the meat?! Well, in a good reputable restaurant, they should in fact offer a new piece of meat and prepare it much much better, but no.. So we just said, ok, and arrived after a while.. but the âmomentâ and the time for a super nice steak was fast gone and just ate what we got and asked for the bill. Then no 2 shock came: this guy, who recommended this very nice âBlue Steakâ charged us the absurd amount of THB 3.800..!!? I mean, when you obviously have a complaint and even donât make a much better piece of meet to your âbelovedâ customers, you should at least cut the bill the be more âswallowableâ, literally speaking, and reduce the bill to a minimum! The website presented professional pictures of a stunning venue and a variety of classic and modern dishes all at a very reasonable price.
Although the website offers a very easy to use online booking/reservation system - due to the early evening time my GF and I chanced a visit without reservation. However during our visit many more guests arrived so I strongly advice pre booking.
Ample parking is available at the venue or on the wide very quiet street.
This is a very professional family run restaurant which is balancing a modern themed trendy restaurant with traditional bistro perfectly and using a long history of restaurant ownership to combine modern food with a home cooked style in a relaxed and comfortable setting which you are going to love - I guarantee itâŠ
Owner Luc is exceedingly welcoming and very passionate to explain the origins of his Belgium Imported Produce and the efforts he has gone through to provide a truly authentic experiences at a very reasonable price.
Like me Iâm guessing after listening to Luc you will follow his advice on all the specials Luc recommends and of course adding the Belgium Muscles.
I chose the most popular Belgium beer they have and Luc chose our Red Wine, all were great and all were at a very-very reasonable price.

Tried all the croquettes.. cheese, gray shrimp, mussel, grey shrimp salad, whelks, a wonderful cod Ostendaise, our national Witloof (endives), Belgian steak tartare and eels in greens. Served with homemade mashed potatoes and wonderful hand cut fries. If you are Belgian, you should go because you will not find most of those dishes in Thailand. If you are not, go try this place out as it will give you a really different experience than the usual frensh classic cuisine. And to waste nothing... Chef Luc is what you expect of a good Belgian. Passionated by his kitchen and always there to explain you all details about his dishes and throw in a little joke. Was the first but surely not the last time... a lot of other dishes...
