We had a All-you-can-eat dinner of 1599 bahts per person and the time allowed for meal is 2 hours. With the poor service and the unsatisfactory quality of food, the meal was definitely overpriced.
We got information about this restaurant from some KOLs' recommendation in their videos so I decided to have my birthday meal there. We arrived on time at the restaurant, with high expectation.
The first thing that shocked us was about the surchage of 3% if the payment was made by credit cards. We were not informed of this when we made the reservation. Unluckily, we didn't have enough cash at that moment and there was no shops for currency exchange nearby. Therefore, we had no choice but to pay the surcharge before we got seated.
Even worse, after we were seated, no one came to serve us and what we got was a QR code to place orders for food. We did not have anything like to sauces as the others did. We tried to get help from the waiters and waitresses nearby but we were ignored as if we were transparent (maybe we were people who had no cash?). Finally, we got hold of somebody who delivered food to us and got the seafood sauce.
The worst is the waiting time for the food. The signature dish is the barbecued big prawns, which attracted us to go there. However, the food of lower price like small prawn came quickly but the barbecued big prawns we ordered did not arrive even after 30 mins after we ordered the food. We made a complaint to the lady in charge (who was good at mandarin) there and we were told to wait for some more time. Though she did apologise, we were very frustrated as we were left little time to eat. All we got was just 2 hours! And though she promised to extend the time we could have for dinner, I really could not call what we had experienced at this restaurant 'pleasant'.
The food there was just so-so. Apart from the barbecued big prawn (which arrived after 40 mins we placed the order, and less than the amount we ordered), the others were just normal and could not be called 'tasty'. Even we got a big lobster as kind of 'compensation', the meat was super hard and tastless. I could tell that the lobsters were not fresh at all.
In short, the dining experience at this restaurant was indeed very, very disappointing. In Bangkok, there are much much more better restaurants which provide more quality service and tastier food at this price. With this sum of money, I can even have buffet dinner at Novotel!
My birthday dinner was ruined. I will NEVER go to this restaurant again and will advise my friends and relatives not to go too. I don’t see why I should...
Read moreValue u can get most out of the buffet as sea food compare to jodd fair is very cheap and worth it example durian alone in jodd fair is 500 thb for 5 piece But buffet is free flow
Service Their service is messy When we arrive we waited about 15-20mins before the stuff know what to do and serve us and there there is no other incoming customer at that time so they are not even busy
They are so mess up and the worst is that they treat us like we would cheat their menu
One of my friend unable to eat durian so he ordered the 1199 menu
The difference of the $1499 menu and $1199 menu is the lobster and the durian lobster only can order 1 serving we not going to share our 1 lobster which was over cooked with him
They had to separate his seat and table from us like we going to cheat their menu like we place the table together they would pull the table away again and again like ridicules an inch away If we wanna cheat even u put the end of the restaurant away also can cheat Pls treat us with respect for the premium price we are paying
Ordering food is very messy too There are many times when we order It didn’t come then end up 1 hr later then come end up a lot of order we don’t know it will come or not
Lastly manager I think she has low EQ She threaten us to wash plate if we don’t give a 5 star review for them
but to be fair to the owner they still have a lot to improve on Will still go back again just for the...
