Beautiful view, nice staff, overpriced mediocre at best food. Amazing View, and the staff were very nice… But beyond that I really have nothing good to say about this place. The uninspired menu looks like it was borrowed from a sports bar. For the appetizers: Fried mushrooms fried calamari fried chicken wings, nachos. We had the calamari, and it was extremely oily and over battered, which overpowered the calamari itself. We also had the Caesar salad, and for some reason a raw egg is added, which wasn’t good in taste, nor texture. Trying to salvage the meal, I ordered the Wagu steak. One each for myself and my date. She requested medium, I requested medium+ They both came back medium well… And the quality of meat was nowhere near what wagu should be. Tough, way too much fat, dry, and the carrot purée that was added to the dish, really did not go well with the meat. I was there Saturday night March 5, and more than half the tables were empty. The impression I got was this restaurant thinks it can get by and it’s view alone, but It won’t. With all the great food options in Bangkok I can’t believe this place will not last much longer. The food and menu I would say, out of five stars I would give less than one. The only reason the overall score was 2/5 was because the staff were very nice, and as we were almost climbing into the elevator, Amy, (who is either a hostess or a manager) asked us how our meal was… And I gave her the truth. She was very receptive to our criticism, and seemed sincere in her desire to improve things here. I hope the owner and management listens to her. This restaurant needs to scrap everything, and completely start over… Or it will not survive. Way over priced, terrible food, executed very poorly, and was three times the price it should be. We had a nice bottle of wine, and I was on the first date, so I just rolled with it… And me and my young lady had a good time even though dinner was a complete bust Go for the view, have a drink, but go eat...
Read moreMy recent visit to this restaurant was quite disappointing, particularly in terms of service and overall atmosphere which, frankly, fell short of the fine dining experience they claim to offer.
To be honest, this was the first so called fine dining venue where I had to actively seek the attention of staff just to place an order. That alone set a poor tone.
A Thai waiter initially came to take our order, but in the middle of the process, he casually turned to speak with a colleague and told us he’d return to continue taking the rest of our order. Not only was that abrupt and unprofessional, but he never returned. We waited patiently, expecting someone else to follow up, but no one did.
While sipping on mocktails, we sat waiting for any staff member to approach so we could order our appetisers and desserts. Unfortunately, not a single waiter came near our table for the rest of the meal. We felt completely ignored.
Now, I don’t know if this is the standard of service they provide, or if preference is given only to Thai guests but either way, it’s unacceptable. The lack of attention felt deliberate and, to be honest, I couldn’t shake off a strong sense of being treated differently. It felt like discrimination.
I urge the management to take this seriously and conduct a proper review of the service standards and staff behaviour. If further clarification is needed, I’d be more than willing to provide more details.
This sort of treatment doesn’t reflect what a respectful, inclusive dining experience should be especially not in a place claiming to be...
Read more(February 17, 2019) One of the girl servers there was a bit rude. I didn't ask for her name but she have light blond hair color. She had an attitude written on her face when I asked her if I can get a table while waiting for my two other friends to arrive later (it rained for few minutes that evening) Yes, I wore casual clothes that day but it doesn't give her permission to be biased with certain customers, I still spend good amount of money for food and drinks. But fortunately, she was the only rude employee there. We had another girl server later on that night, she was very friendly.
The price here is understandable, cost about the same as going to typical bars in the States. Except here you get to see magnificent 360° view of the city, worth it. I personally think the view here is about as beautiful as Red Sky bar (next to Central World) There's live music band during night time. We had Thai lady singer that night and she was fantastic at singing 90's music. The food here taste pretty average, same goes for the drinks. But it's fine since I came here for the marvelous view.
Overall, my first experience went well except for that horrendous attitude from that girl server. But I would...
