River Bar - Ayutthaya — Restaurant in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya City Municipality

Don’t come here.

I choose this restaurant for my husband’s birthday and it was a terrible idea. At first the place looks very charming, nice waiters. Price/ are okay but not cheap.. Then we ordered food Beef for my man: okay !

I ordered steamed seafood with lime juice , very spicy !!! And it wasn’t written on the menu. I am very sick when I eat spicy, I have stomach disorder and I can go to hospital. So I ordered a pizza… not very good but okay

But the worst is the end 1st : they wanted me to pay everything, even the seafood which is not my mistake but their 2nd : they only accept cash !! So my boyfriend had to withdraw cash (and pay 220 baht fee) 3rd : they didn’t want to do the -10% discount for the birthday. It’s the D DAY, we showed his passport !

I almost finished in hospital and you ruined my husband birthday ! You could do the promised -10%

During our trip to Ayuthaya we looked for a place to see the sun set on the river. Unfortunately was cloudy but the view was gorgeous indeed. The location along the river had a very nice view of the church across the river (which is lit up at night). In front the Catholic Church St.Joseph.

Service is good and kind. We just come for drinking while watching Sun set. But we ordered French fried and pizza. I didn’t expect to have a good pizza and chosen 4 cheese pizza and was not too bed. During our four night stay in Ayuthaya we ate here for dinner twice. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The location along the river had a very nice view of the church across the river (which is lit up at night). We called ahead to reserve a table on the deck next to the water. The restaurant seems to be a family run place, and everyone was helpful and professional. I would recommend this restaurant as a nice alternative to some of the larger, more impersonal restaurants in the area.
