Call to order before you go. They will give priority to takeouts more. We called to check if they were busy and also made a reservation. We waited almost 30 mins for first dish to arrive, 20 mins later for 2nd and 3rd (3rd was salad) dish to be served. There was only 3 tables total at the time and we were 2nd in order. People that came after started getting some dishes while we didn't get enough of ours to start the meal. They would not respond to us until I started increasing my voice. Only after complaining then things start moving. We decide to cancel the rest of the orders that weren't done yet, as soon as we ask if they started cooking one of our dish, they would say it's almost done and I can see they start to get the ingredients. We had to tell them we are not taking it. There are better places near by with better taste, services, selection, price and view. Really regreted giving this place a chance so we could try something new, should have stuck to the regular places. (Updated 24/08/21, been years but still regret trying...
Read morePaa Sao restaurant is a local restaurant near Khao Takiab, the shop is crowded on the day we went, parking is available roadside. There are only blue crab and river prawns that are live seafood, the rest such as octopus, rock lobster, and other seafood are all frozen. I expected more live seafood since the restaurant is so close to the nearby fishing village. The prices are average for a local restaurant, quite high considering food is not 100% live seafood, example I can get live rock lobster nearby for 450B a kilo, but they sell dead rock lobster for 700B a kilo, usually dead rock lobster sell around 200B a kilo nearby.
Also becareful, make sure to check the bill as our bill was overcharged, which they kindly edited manually. Also this place doesn’t co with the government so cannot use discount coupons. Hopefully they can provide more live seafood since they are so close to a...
Read moreA large spacious seafood restaurant - lots of tables with space between. There's a great selection of seafood to choose from. The first time we went we had my favourite prawns in tamarind sauce - 10 good size prawns in delicious tamarind sauce. We also had scallops. The serves a generous - worth the cost. I thought the food was good value for the cost. It was better value than other restaurants we ate at. There's some fresh seafood out the front you can choose have cooked. Limited range of soft drinks - we had fresh coconut. Well...
