Steak On Stone — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

My wife and I stayed in Khao Takiab (lower Hua Hin) for a week and can safely say that this restaurant was the pick of the bunch for us. The owner and his wife were super-friendly and really great to chat to (and 'no' I'm not saying that coz of the shooters we shared :P )

Both the food and drinks were amazing and left both my wife and I super satisfied... and perhaps a little uncomfortable due to the fullness of our tummies.

If you're looking for a spot with a beautiful vibe (their restaurant is one of the most beautiful with their amazing plants placed all over) and great food then you cannot go wrong here. The surprising thing is also that the price was really really good for what we were eating - and the same cannot be said for some other spots in the area who were easily charging...

I had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. The restaurant its self was very clean organized and had a great atmosphere. The service was second to none. The menu offered both Thai and Western dishes. I ordered 2 dishes. Cashew chicken and Thai green curry. I’ve been to Thailand many times and I have to say these two dishes were prepared with great ingredient’s and care. The quality of the vegetables and meat was so good. The portion size was also good and well worth the money. If I could give the food a 6/5 I would. Went on a quiet night with only two other tables in the restaurant. After ordering, had to wait ~20min for a drink, and more than 30min for simple bruschetta for starter. Another long wait for main course, but to an underwhelming surprise of a snapper filet with fries. Around 10 fries on the plate so immediately had to order more. Those came when we had finished our wine and fish. All in all, not the worst food we have had (it was average) but far from the expectation.
