Pran's Corner — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

Pran's Corner is a fantastic find near the Sheraton Hotel in Thailand. It was a great alternative to dining at the hotel restaurant due to its reasonable prices and consistently good food. We dined here several times during our stay in the area and tried a variety of dishes, including the fried pork, chicken wings, Thai papaya salad, fried rice, cashew chicken and fried sea bass. Everything was delicious, and we enjoyed pairing it with plenty of white wine and beer.

I did order the crab papaya salad which was the only thing I didn't like on the menu. But that's just because they came as a whole little crabs and I'm just not used to that.

We visited on a Friday when the beach is buzzing with food carts and locals gathering for big family dinners on the beach near Prans corner who has live music Fri/Sat (and maybe Sunday?) Servers spoke English and were EXTREMELY attentive (they stand off to the side to give you space and keep an eye ready to assist when you make eye contact). The menu is in Thai and English with a wide array of local and Western dishes and extensive drink menu - they even arrive with a table to put wine on ice if you buy a bottle. Here is where you want to be just as dusk sets in ! Great drinks menu, I had a Pineapple smoothie...smooth tasty snd generous serving .Right across the Scenic road are the sound of waves slapping the reinforced concrete steps and making quite a splash ! All the night lights create a fine atmosphere and musicians perform live here on the weekends. A great ancillary benefit are the numerous seaside street vendors that serve up some great dishes that one may sit out by the waterfront and enjoy.
