I’ve tried many Indian restaurants since moving to Hua Hin two and a half years ago, but I had not yet tried S & S until this past weekend. I had just returned from Ko Lipe, where I had eaten, arguably, the best Indian meal I had ever had in Thailand. It had been my first time trying chicken rogan josh and I became an instant fan. It was so delicious. I decided to try that when I went to S & S. I also ordered garlic cheese naan and an appetizer I had never tried before called chicken pakora. The pakora reminded me of a chicken nugget. I bit into it and saw that it appeared to be finely ground chicken, mixed with spices, and then deep-fried. It arrived at my table with some red, pickled onions, mango chutney, and a vinegary mint sauce. I really liked this dish. Very favorable. So was the garlic cheese naan. I wasn’t a huge fan of the rogan josh. Like in Ko Lipe, I asked for it to be spicy. It came to my table and did not resemble the beautifully presented dish I had fallen in love with on Ko Lipe. It was darker and the taste was a tad bittter. The flavors did not pop out to me. It was just overpoweringly spicy. I took most of it home for leftovers. I will come back to try other dishes, but I think I will leave the rogan josh alone at this place in the future. I need to branch out and try new...

Read moreLady serving me was amazing, very attentive. I ordered a chicken tikka dansak, plain rice and lacha paratha. I asked for spicy and that’s what I got, would recommend going for what they serve, really hard to gauge the heat when going to a new restraunt, it’s the hottest dish I’ve had here, I’ve asked for hot every time. the dansak had no lentils that I could find and there was no hint of sweet and sour, maybe because of the spice level. The rice was good, heated up in the microwave, not a busy place, so to be expected. The paratha was excellent, star of the show for me. Just to mention that I asked for tikka, wanting breast meat, they served me with what I’d of called tandoori which had grissle and cartilage, I’m not a fan although I know some are. I was the only person in there from start to finish. The considered the price high for the quality of food and eating at what I’d call a school...
