Moin Moin Café Hua Hin — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

It's Tuesday May 28th 2024 and 15.00pm. I haven't rated the food as I'm not eating. Recommended by a friend so came to see and I'm writing this inside cafe 99. Sign above door says they have Bakery, so asked for a croissant, they don't have, asked for cake, they don't have. In fact they don't serve any bakery products, so thats not reassuring when there's a sign that says they do. Ordered a Blueberry Smoothie with yoghurt (see pic), and it's very nice. Weirdly perhaps as its served in a large wine glass. Doesn't bother me at all. Plenty of fans placed around so a coolish breeze comes through, even though it's 90f. The 99 has 3 open sides too, so a thru breeze is a pleasant thing too. Will I be back, perhaps, but, I did have a hankering for a croissant and coffee, which I'll now buy and enjoy elsewhere. Looked it up from google maps and decided to go on foot (from my hotel) about 2.7km away. Definitely worth the effort in all terms for the intended purpose, Breakfast. situated at a small intersection with open side wall allowing fresh breeze to pass through the dining area, cooling it and creating a pleasant environment. It was early morning and it wasn’t full yet. The food menu is a mixture of Thai and European food with plenty of choices. Ordered full English Breakfast set, and an extra meal to try out, which is the mixed German Sausages. The Orange Juice tasted great and fresh. Breakfast set was nicely made but for some reason, I found the German Sausages set lacking the usual spices, or the correct intensity, and so did the sauerkraut. Update - Excellent food and coffee and very polite staff. However I had very slow service. Waited over 10 minutes for my order to be taken, even after I collected the menu myself. Waited another 10 minutes for my coffee to arrive and a further 15 minutes for my breakfast. Over 35 minute wait is unacceptable for a small breakfast when there is only 2 other people in the restaurant. The waitress did explain that they had Grab orders prior to my arrival, but that’s not my fault and maybe they should employ more staff to deal with unexpected large orders. So it should have been better. Please don’t let your very high standards slip.
