Great beach. We were on the beach section associated with the Anantasila hotel, near to the harbour and rock. Soft sand, clean in the section we were in and the water was great for swimming (didn't spot any jelly fish). It was high tide and we originally went to Hua Hin beach (where there was no beach because the tide was so high and the waves were rough!). Much more sheltered here and a good section of beach even at the high tide. Service from the hotel was excellent (we paid 500THB for day pass and got loungers, could use the pool, showers, etc). You could try the other sections, which might be cheaper. Mix of people, relaxed atmosphere, lots of Europeans and also Thais.

Read moreI visited a beach that left me utterly disappointed. The shoreline was littered with plastic, dead fish, and cigarette ends, making the entire area unsightly. The water, rather than being crystal clear, appeared murky and uninviting. To add to the discomfort, annoying monkeys roamed freely, and persistent vendors tried to sell their wares. The presence of water jets further detracted from the overall experience. Despite having visited Thailand multiple times, this beach stands out as the worst, tarnishing the usually picturesque landscapes the country...
Read moreI have just been on a most vicious ride from the beach. A Jet ski tows you on a tube or bullet through the waves. The waves was adventurously choppy and I found myself almost projeted off the tube hanging on by only my fingernails. The staff was very supportive and helped me pry my nails off the bullet afterwards with great encouragement. The price was steep.....I lost at least a few decades off my life....but it was sure worth...
