One of the best restaurants in Thailand... seriously
Forgive my excitement, but the dishes and food here are truly world class. The environment is a friendly and laid back eco style cafe with a resident tortoise and couple of Frenchies. Looking at the menu, you expect some nice fresh cafe style food but wow, what they put together in the kitchen is unbelievable.
We had a swordfish poncho: swordfish steak, asparagus and a light vegetable tapanade served something like an encroute, but using roti instead of puff pastry. It was a perfect balance of big punchy flavours, the fish succulent, and the roti was so much better than puff pastry.
We also had a chuchee chicken that was out of this world. All of the delicious aromatic flavours of Thailand in the chuchee curry... sweet, salty, sour, salty, with toasted coconut, fresh green peppercorns...ask for spicy (it’s not really spicy) poured over lightly battered, well seasoned golden chicken. The aroma alone is worth the price of the dish.
We had mixed grilled vegetables which were beautifully cooked, full of flavours, pleasantly light on oil.
The first two dishes could be served in any number of 5* or Michelin star European or Asian restaurants and would be the best item on the menu!

Turtle Bay states upfront that it is NOT a resort or hotel, but simply "homestay". Node shared that his vision is an intimate space where he can get to know his guests. Indeed, there are only 3 rooms with a maximum of 6 guests. We often felt like we had our own private mini resort, being able to lounge in the few shared nooks around the pond
The architecture of the buildings is beautiful, locally made from rattan (ask Node about the details and challenges!) It is new, clean and well-maintained with Asian elements integrated.
Node and his team were incredibly hospitable throughout our three nights - attentive service without ever being intrusive, complimentary bites & drinks at all our meals, and cosy chats whenever we had questions.
We came during my birthday and there were so many little surprises that made me feel so well-looked after and special. Even if you don’t come here to stay the night, I highly recommend visiting for a delicious meal, especially the coconut cake, Thai salad and poncho fish.

Read morePeacefull place and service is okay. Coffee after 2mn cold in the cup Hmmmm would say so so and size of the cup even regular size have more at amazon cafe. Brownie come cold now it’s a standard to ask if customer want heat up or not. Well all in all not bad but does not worth 4.6 rating On top of that roti banana at 180 bht is just a scam definitely disappointed 👎
Further your reply 35mn ago im not complaining about your services I m complaining about your coffee and brownie. I think you dont get my point. Im not supposed to teach you how to serve the coffee and brownie for instance. All the time I sit at table i did not see anybody coming to see me if everything was ok. only the waitress who can speak thai to clear the table and collect the money for the bill. Your nice words about to ensure our privacy and bla bla is not relevant. one more thing if you see a farang sitting one of you table and if you are so sooooo concerned about well being of your customer send staff who can interact with the customer. its the...
