Gluay Nam Wah Restaurant — Restaurant in Ratsada

This evening, we stopped by the Gluay Nam Thai restaurant and were pleasantly surprised! Since we had our dog with us, we sat on the veranda, which was unexpectedly cool and cozy. The seating was comfortable, and the live music was a nice addition. The musicians were great, and the singer had a beautiful voice.

The service was warm and attentive — a very pleasant experience overall. For our first visit, we tried the crab fried rice and roti with Massaman topping. The food was decent, especially considering the affordable prices.

We'll definitely come back to try one of the fish dishes. We didn't order any this time because we were short on time. For now, we're giving it four stars, but we plan to bump it up after our next visit! All in all, it was a surprisingly...

The menu book can be mistaken for a dictionary! The choices are plentiful and interesting. We only select the thai dishes - can't say it is very good but honestly it isn't bad either. The black glutinous rice mix on top of the white rice is a refreshing twist. The interior is decorated with dark furniture but with the ample big windows makes the entire place bright and classy. The randomly placed stuffed animals on the chairs added a quirky charm to the place. Service was a little slow - though there weren't many customers about the staff was just a tad slow to respond. Medium hot Tum Sua is quite hot. The flavour is fine but I have had better. It would be better if there are some Vietnamese styled sausage /Moo Yor and pork crackling in it. Less Thai eggplant. Price of this dish starts from 99 bahts.

Wine only available in bottle. One waitress says beer is available in large bottles only and the other waitress says beer can be ordered in a glass.

A cute young waitress is smiley and sweet. Service is less attentive in air conditioned room which only has a few dining tables.

Mosquitoes enjoy air cond as well so bring your own leg protection.
