The Malika Hotel — Hotel in Ratsada

we booked this hotel initially from june 14 to june 18 for our honeymoon . We are arrived at around midnight , did all the check in procedures, immediately we were shown our room, tons of mosquitos were present in the room : we called the guy at the check in desk when he saw the mosquitoes he contacted a taxi for us to leave to another place as we could not stay in the room - nothing was done to rectify the situation , asked the man for a refund and he stated that it will be done by tomorrow . we never slept in this hotel . On contacting the hotel a few days after to ask about a refund they said this will not be provided due to a strict no refund policy despite the fact that the hotel did not uphold their end of the contact by provided a safe and habitable room for us . this ruined our honeymoon .. I advise everyone to stay away , management was unreachable to discuss the matter - zero customer service and the staff we spoke to over the phone hung up on us , Pleass save yourself the stress and avoid this place .. we ended up staying at the nature phuket. Excellent hotel.the room was large and very comfortable beds,the bathroom was modern clean and had a shower cubicle which can be rare in Asia.We had a big balcony with views over the pool and gardens.The hotel don’t do catering but provide toast and jam bananas and coffee free of charge in the morning,enough to get your day started.The pool and sun beds are very nice and quiet… no road noise.There is coffee making facilities in the room and a huge fridge,WiFi was ok most of the time but better near reception.If I have a complaint it was the stairs….there is no lift,luckily we were on the first floor but still a climb for a 70 something.We found the old town to be a bit of a walk but doable…maybe 25/30 minutes away.Lastly the staff were super helpful ….i would recommend...

The quality of the site and rooms is decent, especially for the prices. The location is also fine, it's about 15/20 minutes walk from the nice restaurant we spotted, BUT..... it's located right next to what seems to be a fire station maybe? Not sure, but it plays an upleasant saturated anthem at 8:00am and in the evening too and it was not a pleasant morning alarm. The swimming pool is nice and the bed also, the fridge has a decent capacity and we are ~10 minutes walk from the 7/11 supermarket.

Overall, I think it's a decent choice (and not expensive for the area) but it's not sound proof and be ready to hear your neighbours if they're...
