Brown Sugar Coffee House Rawai — Restaurant in Rawai

The café looks pleasant from the outside, and the interior is minimalist and decent. The menu is quite diverse. However, the kitchen needs improvement. Additionally, the level of service at the café is rather poor.

My husband ordered a sandwich that consisted of nothing but dry fried bread, lettuce leaves, and fried bacon—no sauce at all. It was extremely dry and tasteless. When I explained this to the staff and asked for some sauce, they provided plain ketchup.

The staff passed my feedback to the manager, who was present and sitting across from us in the café. However, she didn’t bother to approach us to understand what we didn’t like or how they could improve the dish to retain customers. Instead, she remained on the sofa across from us, playing with her dog.

I found this behavior very disrespectful toward guests. It felt like the manager didn’t care at all about the opinions of her customers. My husband doesn’t like making a scene, so he chose to finish the sandwich with the ketchup provided. However, it’s clear that we will never return to this café. We’re not tourists; we live on the island and regularly dine at various restaurants in Phuket.

I recently visited Brown Sugar Coffee House Rawai and was thoroughly impressed. Definitely is now my go-to. The quality of their food and coffee is exceptional, with a wide range of healthy options available on the menu. The staff provided top-notch customer service, making me feel welcomed and valued. Portions were very generous. The cozy environment and convenient location added to the overall delightful experience. I’ve just spent one month in Rawai and I stumbled across brown sugar in the first few days. I’ve never been in a coffee shop that has such a calm happy peaceful vibe/atmosphere. The staff are always smiling and so happy it’s contagious, the service is awesome, the quality of the food is second to none. This was my go to place. I would highly recommend people to give this place ago, you won’t be disappointed.

I am not a food photographer so I don’t have any photos of what I had, but I did take a photo of the “best Thai Tea in the world” and the presentation of their food and everything else is second to none.
