Little Persian is a popular Iranian restaurant in Phuket island, Thailand. It’s rated 4.9 stars by 253 reviews on Google Reviews that compliment its food, service, and ambiance.
The restaurant is located near the Nai Harm and Ra Wai beaches. It’s the closest place you can go for Iranian food if you’re in the area, but keep in mind it’s not right by the beach. You’ll have to walk at least 30 minutes north, which is quite far unless you have a car or motorbike.
When I arrived at the restaurant, I was the only customer, so the waiters only had me to look after. They were quite attentive without being overly intrusive.
I was able to speak to the Iranian owner. He greeted me when I arrived, came over during my meal to ask how I was doing, and initiated a conversation with me at the end. I felt happy about how I was treated.
I ordered a Chelo Kabab and a glass of Doogh, which cost me 350 Baht (£8.01). I think that can’t be beaten. Although it’s a bit higher than what you would pay for local Thai food, I think you still get the value of your money here.
An order of Chelo Kabab contains two skewers of koobideh, a decent amount of rice, and some starters. I felt that the portion sizes weren’t large enough. The koobideh was thin, and there could’ve been more rice and starters.
I liked how the koobideh was barbecued right in front of me, however, I felt the meat lacked flavor and juiciness. The rice, starters, and tomatoes were great, but the koobideh can be improved on.

Read moreIf you are tired of trying different places and none is good then this is your place!, the owner is so polite and has a huge smile on his face all the time, we ordered ALOT of food by mistake!, why? Because we did not expect the portions to be so big, every meal is worth it, we ordered kibab, falafel, burgers, chicken sandwiches, and none of them had any mistakes, everything is fresh and tasty, specially the fries!, never had such good fries in all of Thailand, the pictures on the menu are exactly the same in real life, sorry we didn’t take pictures of the food we ordered because we started eating right away 😅, and yeah we also ordered Humus which was amazing as well, also the inside closed area, there is a no shoes rule that we didn’t notice at first because its not visible much when you are walking in, bathroom is clean with soap and tissues, all in all this place is great for all types of people whether you are with your family and kids or your friends or anyone really, would definitely visit again, i almost forgot, the songs are amazing 😊, perfect volume you can hear each other but still enjoy some good Iranian songs!
The reason im leaving such good review is because of how hard it was for us to find such perfect place and we would love to help...
Read moreUnfortunately, this was the first time I left a Persian restaurant feeling disappointed. I’ve had Persian cuisine many times in various places, and it has always been a delight, but not here. We ordered two dishes, but neither stood out, they were simply okay at best. The rice was very bland and lacked the fluffy texture and vibrant flavors I associate with jasmine rice often served with raisins, carrot strips, and a medley of spices.
Adding to the disappointment, I drove all the way from the other side of the island just to try this place. Passing by bustling restaurants along the sandy streets on my way, I couldn’t help but notice that this restaurant was completely empty when I arrived—a detail that, in hindsight, should have been my first hint.
While the owner was warm and welcoming, the food itself left much to be desired. It lacked the rich and nuanced flavors I’ve come to expect from Persian cuisine. I truly hope the owners take this feedback into consideration and put in more effort to elevate the quality of their dishes, even if it means a slight increase in price. A little more attention to flavor and presentation could make a world...
