Gallery Cafe Naiharn Phuket — Restaurant in Rawai

Have been passing by this place for a while and decided to try it today.

I usually like to give detailed food reviews and I will do the same.

Caesar salad. Fresh lettuce, generous portion, needs more dressing (the dressing tastes OK), chicken is a bit dry. Carbonara. No, sorry this is just some kind of cream pasta with crispy bacon on top. You need to re-consider your carbonara recipe because carbonara has no cream. Margerita pizza. Nice crispy crust, good flavor, and I could actually taste that the cheese they used was good quality cheese. Would be nice if the tables had some chili olive oil. The Gallery burger. Well, it was OK. I could eat it but didn't enjoy it. The quality of the beef was not that good. There were some bits of gristle in the meat, and it was too dry for 2 reasons. First, they over cooked it to hell. Second, the meat didn't have enough fat and it got dry once it was fully cooked.

Service was fine and the place looked tidy and clean. Very clean bathrooms as well. Convenient parking space right behind...

Two really bad experiences in this place. First with the service and then with both food and service. Ingredients listed on their menu is completely inaccurate, ‘almond milk porridge’ contains normal milk with ‘just a little bit of almond milk’ as we were told by the waiter. There are countless other options in Phuket for breakfast, don’t waste your time or money in this place.

*Edit in response to the owner - your menu says ‘Almond milk porridge’ - Why would I need to inform you that my preference is Almond milk after ordering Almond Milk porridge? You’re actual response was “It has a little almond milk and normal milk”. Why would you mix the two? Appreciate that you replaced the incorrect order, I assume that happens quite often. However, the dish that followed was inedible, I assumed you would have taken our feedback from the fact that we didn’t eat any of it. Food was great, Great coffee . Arrived there at 12.00 midday it not very busy but there were customers inside, we sat down and weren't given a menu for 10 minutes , our order was very simple so we placed it with the waiter immediately, we weren't served our order for 55 minute's!!!! Absolutely ridiculous......I even asked to cancel my order after 45 minutes of waiting and was told the kitchen was preparing it and I would have it in 2 minute but still waited for 10 more minutes . Once we finished I asked for the bill , funny how that was sorted in 5 minutes. Buy the way my order was 1 iced latte 1 iced Americanso 1 quinoa and halloumi bowl with 2 poached eggs. I didn't know poached eggs could take so long to cook. Rawai has so many beautiful cafés to choose to eat at so this one will be an easy one to avoid. Try Cannelle bakery not too far down the road, it's absolutely magnificent, atmosphere is 5 star service is 5 star, food 5 star price point...
