This review is only about the Trix epoxy resin maker. I requested to pour a bottle of whiskey into epoxy and make a cube with straight corners and sides. The problems began at the start. At first she wrote to me that her box collapsed and the resin leaked out. Then she asked me to pay more because she miscalculated the dimensions, I agreed because she said she would do everything perfectly. Although I do not understand how difficult it is to calculate the volume of a cube. Then she said that bubbles came out of the cork, this can be seen in the photo that I attached. She asked me to come to the workshop. When I arrived, a terrible surprise awaited me. The cube sides were uneven, the resin was a hazy yellow color, and there was debris inside the resin. She refused to discuss the debris inside the resin and only repeated endlessly that the bubbles were not her fault. It was terrible, she just ruined a bottle of whiskey for $70 and took another $30 in advance. In the end I don’t have time to reorder this gift and $100 is just thrown into the trash.
The funny thing is that she also wanted to get money from me for this terrible job.
I hope my review...
Read moreI met wonderful artists there and some of them were creating art while I was wandering around. The artists live and create here. From a girl who was painting some Parisian street, I got to know that three artists are currently living here. I talked to one of them. His name was Pui, he was one of the founders of that place back then in 2011. He is from Chiang Mai originally, graduated from Bangkok university, and after that got scholarship in Japan to learn about peculiar technique of mezzotint. Mezzotint is a printmaking process that produce a matrix by roughening a metal plate with thousands of little dots made by a metal tool with small teeth, called a "rocker". Pui showed me his house and his works, also made me a tea. He said that he built it out of wooden boats that were destroyed by Tsunami in 2004. That’s why every piece here has a different color, it’s because it originates from a fisherman boat color - explains the author. By the way, his house is also a small cafe where he serves himself. You can buy tea, coffee, pastries and, of course, his artworks.
Wonderful atmosphere and definitely worth visiting while you...
Read moreWhat a hidden gem. This place is off the beaten path, and so worth the trip if you appreciate art or wanting to pickup (ridiculously cheap) REAL local artists work in their studios. You can watch the artists working, and they let us take a few photos with them and the pieces we bought. Met and talked with artists on their stories, about 8 artists (live?) and work in this little plot of land and have many exceptional paintings, sculptures, and even dreamcatchers for sale. I picked up two handmade dreamcatchers for 400 baht — local art souvenirs doesn’t get...
