Nestled within the bustling Safari World, a prominent tourist hotspot in Thailand, this restaurant is one among several catering to the diverse palates of visitors. Boasting a spacious interior with a pleasing aesthetic, it embraces an Indian theme and specializes in buffet-style lunches.

The buffet spread, albeit somewhat limited, encompasses a selection of main courses and desserts. The Indian-themed lunch promises a taste of authenticity, with commendable arrangements and attentive service. Notably, patrons are offered the convenience of complimentary bottle refills with cold water, adding a thoughtful touch to the dining experience. The desserts, a sweet finale to the meal, receive favorable mention.

Situated within a colossal complex accommodating up to 1200 patrons simultaneously, the restaurant is a convenient option for sustenance within the park. While the food is deemed average, it proves to be a worthwhile choice considering the confines of the park. Buffet hours, from 12:30 to 2 pm, coincide with the Dolphin show at 1:30, necessitating a swift dining experience. For those with package deals, like the one from Make My Trip that includes lunch vouchers, this becomes an integral part of the overall Safari World adventure.

Despite mixed reviews, some praise the food as "awesome," highlighting a diverse range of options for both non-vegetarian and vegetarian preferences. The affordability factor further adds to the restaurant's appeal. Notable mentions include an impressive array of offerings such as ice cream, salads, achar, yogurt, mint yogurt, and a specialist Vanilla Ice Cream that garners special recommendation.

However, not all reviews are positive. Criticism centers around the subpar quality of the food, with limited choices available. The decision to dine here was primarily influenced by a discounted buffet included in the Safari park ticket. Complaints extend to the lack of a proper queuing system, leading to a less-than-ideal dining experience. Additionally, the management's choice to make announcements exclusively in Hindi, despite the diverse clientele, raises eyebrows and adds an unusual aspect to the overall...

Absolutely Horrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs!

I had the worst food experience of my life at Savanna Restaurant in Safari World, Bangkok. The curries seemed to be prepared just for display in the trays—completely bland, tasteless, and unappetizing. There was no real effort in making the food edible, and to make matters worse, my kids vomited after eating it.

One of the most frustrating aspects was how Indians were treated separately and directed to the so-called “Indian restaurant.” We came to Thailand to experience Thai cuisine, but instead, we were forced into an unpleasant dining situation with no choice. This kind of discrimination was unacceptable.

If you’re from South India, especially Kerala, avoid this place at all costs. The food quality is so poor that you won’t be able to eat it, and you’ll regret wasting your money. If you’re planning a trip to Safari World, make sure to skip this restaurant entirely to save yourself from disappointment and a...

Food wise, chef all were okay. I think the chef with mic, helping people around and checking for any help needed was quite good. Biggest problem is the support staff. Two gentleman who were allocating seats. For sure not owners of the restaurant but the attitude and arrogance way above normal. Also you feel weird why would people from your country behave so rude when we believe in athiti Devo bhava. We were siting in our assigned seats and had our infant with us. The only mistake we did was took a glass of water kept beside and made her drink. Yea you heard it right. That guy started lecturing me stating I put a loss of 500tbh because of that and some senseless talk. These guys need to understand that they aren't doing a free seva and everything has been paid a price. Next time, you get this in package.. Prefer not to. Safari world awesome experience. This lunch...

This is where all prebooked indian buffet is served. This dining hall is huge and you would alloted a seat. The logistics arrangements were good. But the food was super bad. It was cold. Tasteless. No variety. Poori, rice, 1 mix veg, 1 daal, curd, some weird kheer, salad, pickle. Only thing eatable were bananas. If you are not craving for indian food, there are other cafes where you can eat sandwiches etc. But for vegetarians, this is still best option to fill their stomach. Pro tip- Reach here at the opening time itself to atleast get some warm food.
