This place in Hat Yai is a must-visit for serious cocktail lovers! The cocktails here are the real deal, expertly crafted, packed with flavour, and definitely not the watered-down alcoholic drinks I've sometimes found in bars in Malaysia.

While the prices are on the higher side for Hat Yai (around ฿300+), the quality and unique taste are worth every baht. I tried four different cocktails, and each one was a signature "Sin Tonic" creation that tasted absolutely amazing. For a great experience, grab a seat at the bar to watch the skilled mixologists work their magic before you enjoy your drink.

It's not just about the drinks though. The food is fantastic as well. The fried wings were incredibly flavourful, and the Beef with Truffle Fried Rice, served with a raw egg yolk on the side, was a standout dish.

The overall vibe is great, it's lively without being too noisy, and they sometimes have live singing which adds to the atmosphere. It can get quite busy, but that's just a testament to how good the place is.

A huge shoutout to the mixologists and waiters who are clearly passionate and hardworking, juggling multiple tasks flawlessly. Seeing how busy they were, I was hesitant to add to their workload, but their service remained top-notch.

Highly recommend for a fantastic night of inventive cocktails and delicious food when...

Khao Chae:

Khao Chae is a traditional Thai cocktail made with Lanna rice spirit and infused with jasmine flavor, hailing from the Chiangmai region. The use of jasmine provides a sweet and floral note to the cocktail, which may be quite pleasing to the senses. The Lanna rice spirit is known for its smooth and mellow taste, which may complement the jasmine flavor nicely. Overall, Khao Chae can be a refreshing and exotic cocktail that transports you to the lush landscapes of Northern Thailand.

Tanood:

Tanood is a palmyra spirit from Songkhla, which is a coastal province in Southern Thailand. Palmyra is a type of palm tree, and its fruit is used to make the spirit. The use of palmyra may give Tanood a unique flavor that is earthy and nutty, with hints of sweetness. The spirit is known to have a strong aroma and taste, making it a bold and intense cocktail. Tanood can be an interesting choice for those who enjoy exploring unique and...

Walked to Sin Tonic from the hotel we stayed at in Had Yai. It is a small proprietor run high-class bar that has a small menu and a great mixologist.

Joey, the owner, is very friendly and accommodating and really enjoyed his rather eclectic music selection. We were just going to have a drink but ended up eating as well. The food was very well prepared and cooked and we really enjoyed the whole evening.

Would recommend without hesitation if you...
